| Re: My new Triumph Sprint ST... Yeah, there is definately heat while puttering around town. The bike heats up quickly too and the fan comes on faster/more frequently than any other bike I have had. But once you get moving not bad at all. I haven't had anybody 2-up for any extended period so I don't know about that... |

| Re: My new Triumph Sprint ST... I can't imagine it being too much worse than a 1000RR or my 600RR. In stop and go, it kills me. my RC wasn't even that bad.
I'm interesting in demoing a Sprint in the near future. It's a cool bike. |

I wonder if getting the exhaust pipes ceramic coated would help with the exhaust heat ? Also maybe a PC111 to richen up the mixture might lower the engine temps. some.
Future plans already. |

This weekend a guy is buying my R1, so the Triumph will be next. Thanks for posting your impressions on the bike it helps a lot in my decision. |

(Hobo Dinner = Tin foil w/ Chicken, Potatoes, Onions, Carrots, butter and salt and pepper) | It never bothered me... As far as I can tell, they did it on purpose to keep anyone that wants to wear shorts on a bike off a Triumph... |

Looking through the posts in this thread - bleeding the brakes seems to stiffen things up a bit. I've never bled the brakes on any of the bikes I've had. Is this in the Owners Handbook?
As a brief bio: Took up motorcycling 2 years ago as a way of getting through traffic jams. Loved it. Had a Yamaha 600 for 8 months; then a BMW R1100S Sport for a year; then a BMW R1200GS for 6 months (I blame the Ewan McGregor video!) and then got the Triumph Sprint ST 1050. Oh, my God! I was in love instantly. Picking up the bike on day 1 was an even better ride than the test ride. I've only had it 4 days, so still getting used to the ride - and the power. Will introduce myself formally next time.
Cheers,
Graham |

| Re: My new Triumph Sprint ST... okay, so in light of a few issues with my bike and just flat out been meaning to go by there anyway, me and my ladyfriend went by the triumph/bmw dealer today and looked at the GS and the Sprint ST. What's the latest on your ST experience? Do you know if there is a heated grip option? Still getting good fuel mileage? Got hard bags yet? |

| Re: My new Triumph Sprint ST... I love mine... I ride it everyday it isn't raining...
I have the heated grips. I got them installed a few months ago when I was getting other parts fixed/repaired after the helicopter incident.
I don't have the hard bags, but if you can get them free, I would take them!
I have enough storage from a tank bag and a tail bag if I need it (for what I do).
Gas mileage is 50 mpg avg.
Very comfy.
Come up and ride it if you like... |

| Re: My new Triumph Sprint ST... I am looking at changing out the licence plate holder on my 2006 sprint. I would also like to have the turn signals incorporated into the brake light. Has anyone done this and if so what parts have you used. |
