Re: Triumph Rocket III

Holy shite, this is a whopper of a bike. I guess VTX and Rune riders won't be able to show their faces for awhile...

Opinions?

Personally, I love the mill. How could you not?

The dual head lamp thingie is kewl, conjures up Speed Triple images and reminds me of the Triumph lineage.

Love the rear shot with the asymetrical exhausts, fat rear meat and wide tank. Awesome.

Hate the ape-hanger bars (a flat drag bar would be my first mod).

The rad ought to be blacked out IMO.

Overall, I think it's pretty bad-arse.

Interesting stuff.

...nice, different, umm, massive... but I'd still prefer the Rune.

Re: Triumph Rocket III

My buddy had a Triumph. Said he couldn't do a holeshot w/o the back wheel being torqued out of alignment.

Pretty cool in black; but like the Speed Triple, I hate the headlights.

Re: Triumph Rocket III

Interesting that they resurrected a name from BSA's early 70's lineup for this model. The least they could have done is called it a Trident . . .

Wasn't the first 'Trident' considered to be a hybrid cafe racer with a Triumph frame and a Vincent engine? *I could be wrong (and probably am *)
