Re: U.K. Magazine

Hi!

I read a previous post which started out discussing tires, and kinda ended up with what UK bike magazine was the best

A lot of you obviously like 'BIKE', I find it OK but it is not as good as T.W.O. (two wheels only) It has great pics and paper quality, and the journalists/writers are far more funny/entertaining. The magazine is still serious, and not a typical 'squid' magazine.

If you have it over in the US i suggest you give it a try

Re: U.K. Magazine

We get it here in Australia but it costs a bit. I agree with you that TWO is a better quality mag in regards to paper quality and pictures and I prefer the editorials especially Jimmerello's.

Re: U.K. Magazine

T.W.O. is good, so is Performance Bike and SuperBike. BIKE is alright, too, although a lot of it is filled with the specs and pricing and reviews of every bike made, which gets to be the same thing every issue.

Re: U.K. Magazine

Yeah,

bike and TWO are my favorite british mags...

Superbike has gone the way of squids with the dude from the USA they have doing some testing for them... *They have fallen off some in my opinion, but I still read it! *Most of the guys that write in TWO are superbike defectors... *Wozza and a few of the other testers... *Must have wanted to start their own mag or something...

For those that don't already, if you like bike technology and racing, the best mag in the US is RoadRacingWorld. *So much motogp info in that magazine. *Interviews with colin, nicky, every month seems to be something new and cool... *THis month they have a lot of info about the cube development and also a really good writeup about the dual shock M1 and the theory behind it... *Its cool stuff to a EE like myself, makes me wanna go back to school and I really just got out! *

Re: U.K. Magazine

I have read the last two issues of RoadRacerX and have been pretty impressed. There have only been 3 issues so they are very new. I am going to pick up my first issue of Road Racing World on ccwilli's recomendation.

Re: U.K. Magazine

It is a prety good balance between all levels. It is a bi-monthly mag so this month's issue is covering the MotoGP race from Suzuka and Kato's death. Also, AMA stuff I think through Infineon (not sure). A good bit of stuff on Mladin. Good quotes from Mladin and Roberts (aka Little Chicken Boy per Yates). Good pics, for example Duhamel flipping the bird and another of of him sliding through the grass during practice at Daytona.
