Opp Racing

Reluctantly I must give these folks

I tried to order a upper and brisk plugs for the RC51 on Feb 2
Timeline:
Feb 1 Send an email asking on shipping costs as the web ordering is unclear.
Feb 2 They respond saying You will be emailed a total to confirm the order
Feb 2 Order the parts, despite my efforts (or because of) the website double orders, I send an email to cancel one.
Feb 3 I get an email and a phone call confirming I had not made an error and want only an upper At this point I was still wanting a final price but feeling good about the service and thoughtfullness.
Feb 10 Still no status on the order is it on backorder? Lost? No charge on the card but no feedback. So I drop them an email asking for a status
Feb 15 Repeat above step with no results again
Feb 20 Call them to ask for a status, the person answering is very polite and my confidence goes up, maybe this is just an honest error. He says he will check on it and call back within 4 hours. I give them until 4:30PM thier time. No call back as promised. I call and cancel the order.

Now everyone I dealt with was pleasant and they have cool products but I cannot take the lack of follow through (I would hate to still be waiting when Fireblades.org days get here). I would have loved to give them 4 hooves up and only gave them two down because: they were honest and never made any false charges, they were polite and corteous on the phone, they have potential of being an excellant vendor

Time for me to order track plastic elsewhere

What are you looking for? Regular plastics or CF?

Any other brands in mind?

Likely go and order some Sharkskinz tomorrow. No matter the brand I will be hunting a replacement fast. I plan on ordering and upper and lower, if the upper fits my CF lower great if not I got to have something soon. I want to do some days in March (April at the latest) Of course when I get on the phone the question is "when will it ship"

Re: Opp Racing

Also considering Yoyodyne but I can't get much info on thier bodywork. I think it used to be sebimoto but there is no brand specified now, and I am gun shy.

Re: Opp Racing

I placed a order from with opp like a month ago and they seem to be pretty straight forward. They let me know that the order was on back order and that I'm not gonna see it until march sometime.I also liked the fact that they wont charge my card until the order comes off the boat.

Re: Opp Racing

Try Indysportbike for a supplier. I have always had good luck with them. You may try Godfather racing. The fitment is good (from what I hear).

I ordered a set of OPP race plastics and waited for over 6 months. Cancelled order and called up Armour Bodies, they took one week to have them at my house!

Re: Opp Racing

My friend and i recently ordered our track bodywork for my honda and his R6.

They said they had all the honda stuff in stock, and i received my shipment within 2 weeks.

However, the uppper fairing for my friend's R6 was not in stock, and they said it would take an extra week. It has been 2 months and counting now.

Moral of the story, if they say it's not in stock. Don't order it.

You won't regret dealing with brad at superbike supply at all... that is where I have gotten most of my parts and I have ALWAYS been happy with the level of service

Great prices too

Anthrax and maple deprivation. Might have to drop by Cracker Barrel on the way home and see if they have any of the inferior blended stuff

Well, I didnt get my phone call but I did get a email that sound like another 2-3 weeks...

Thanks for ordering from OPP and we appreciate your patience. Our shipment
of bodywork will be arriving late next week and we will be processing your
backorder as soon as possible. When your order ships out, you will receive
an email with tracking number from Fedex's automated email system.
