Maybe after hearing about negative experiences over the internet they are building a Quality Assurance Program now and seeking an ISO 9001 certification.

Re: Anyone deal with GDL Cycles before?

I live in Milton Fl. & have been around G.D.L. cycles & Troy enugh to know that he's a complete liar & They butcher everything they do.I have seen them lift ALOT of bikes in the exact same way, with a car jack & a block of wood!I also know of at least 2 other bikes that fell over in the shop that he covered up.I remember troy telling me about the cracked case situation personally & telling me that he knew that it couldnt be proved in court,so **** the guys bike he broke,it wasn't his problem.
Troy would skrew his grandmother out of her S.S.I. check if he could.
99% of His parts DO in fact come of totaled or blown up shitboxes & he WILL list them as new. It's losers like this that make ordering salvage parts less & less a good idea.He says on his website that all parts go through a 40 point inspection, what a crock of **** that is,they don't even really look at the parts they strip off, they just toss them in a bin.
When you call & get any employee there, they will more than likely be either miserable or rude,as working for that asshole & constantly dealing with unhappy customers would make anyone not look forward to going to work.Tim is actually the best of all of them to be on the phone with, but don't go looking for any real"customer service",you'll be sadly disapointed.
you got lucky with them,he's stuck more than one person with a motor that he knew was junk, insisting on one occasion that the person that did the install must have done somthing wrong & that the motor was fine when he pulled it froma bike that was NEVER laid down. That was a TOTAL LIE as he NEVER heard the motor run because that bike had been front ended & had electrical problems as well.
Also for everyones information,he now owns stage 1 auto, also located in milton,on highway 90.He is buying bikes from repo & salvage auctions & doing all the repair & body work at G.D.L. and selling them as "slightly used, never laid down,mint,etc..." for full N.A.D.A. book value.Taking in bikes on consignment & beating the crap out of them and selling bikes with dead batteries so he can "give you a deal" on a used one at G.D.L. the next day are two of his favorate past times. My advice to anyone reading this,STAY CLEAR OF G.D.L. UNLESS YOU LIKE GIVING AWAY MONEY TO ASSHOLES!
