Be wary of Woodcraft rearsets.

I love the customer service and the fact that Mr. Wood himself tried to help me, but in the middle of the 954 2003 production year Honda revamped the stock rearsets. Woodcraft does not have the correct rearsets measurements. My brake pedal is offset from the plunger about 1/2-3/4 of an inch. And my brake lever is only 5 degrees down from my footpeg. It should be about 20 degrees down.

Ciao

The Woodcrafts on my 600RR are perfect.
Why not either adjust your rear master or get the Woodcraft brake pedal?

ahh so thats why! Mine are exactly like you described but I couldn't get a quick resolution short of returning them, so I made it work after a trip to the hardware store. Good to know

I have Woodcrafts on my RC and they are the ultimate choice for a racebike. Built like a rock and no frills.

Re: Be wary of Woodcraft rearsets.

I had to shim the linkage to make it work. Who uses the rear brake anyway right? JK

Re: Be wary of Woodcraft rearsets.

I just got a set for the SV.. They're not as blingy as the Satos on my 954, but they're light, well made and strong. I'm glad to do business with that guy.

I am not faulting Eric or the company. The fact is they do not have enough CBR954RR business to re-measure and re-fab a new set. I don't blame them if there is no market, but I will fault him if he sells future sets without a small disclaimer.

Cheers
