Ebay seller (ron_is_a_god) NO GOOD!

Just another example of why I hate to buy of the internet. Did a "buy it now" on frame sliders. Made payment on May 23rd and had to send him 3 emails to get a tracking number. Finally got them on the 7th. Went to put them on (if your sitting on bike) the left one does not fit well at all. It has about 2-4mm of play causing it to spin and wiggle around. I guess I'm going to find a way to get the play out. I don't want to return them cuz then I'll just lose on shipping and I know HE won't pick it up. So in my opinion don't deal with

E-mail him and tell him you issue with his product. If he tells you to pound sand turn in a claim to Pay Pal, they are more for the buyer than the seller. It won't cost you anything but a few e-mails and they are free.

Sounds like the bolt is too long. Be careful, you can punch a hole in the cylinder if you have the wrong length of bolt.

I was thinking the same. On the 1KRR, the left and right side bolts are different lengths. Check the stock bolt lengths and see if they're different.

on my vortex sliders they had a right and left. One of them had a plastic lip or spacer it. You might check to see if both sliders are the same.

On the 929, the left and right sliders AND bolts are different.

Good call, Hammer. After the appropriate amount of "resolution attempts" Paypal will refund YOUR money first, then go after the seller to get theirs back. It's a good system that works!

Re: Ebay seller (ron_is_a_god) NO GOOD!

I was just going to add another 2-3 washers to get the extra room out. I did compare the oem bolt to this one and they are real close. The sliders are from "his" company?? Team Skeen Racing. I liked how they looked and the price. Another important factor was his feedback was 99.5% and he's a powerseller. He is based out of Colorado. Upon further email discussions I just think he bit off more then he can chew as far as selling and shipping out on time. I'll post some pics when I get them on if anyone wants to see??

P.S. I still hate dealing with orders on the net!!

With the names he using I'd be very leary of dealing W/him ."Team Skeem" sounds more like it & ron_is_a_DOG would maybe more appropriate? Maybe he's legit & you just got a F'D up order!

Re: Ebay seller (ron_is_a_god) NO GOOD!

Hey whoever started this might want to actually contact the seller about his problems before bickering and attempting to ruin that seller's reputation. I have purchased from him and everything was flawless. I had no problems with communication. And second he's in Colorado and you're in PA. Don't rip on him, maybe you should have checked with the shipping company. I think your problem is installer error and impatience.

I always wondered if I would find a merchant I thought so much of, that I would join a group like Fireblades just to defend him with my first post.
