Dyno'd and tuned at Cycle Trendz

I had a great experience down at Cycle Trendz in Norfolk, VA this week. SilverBullet and the guys tuned my PCIII and put on my adjustable swingarm extensions. After tuning, max numbers were 139.9 hp, 69 tq for a gain of 4 hp and 5 tq over the Erion full system map I was using in my PCIII. Most impressive is how smooth the bike accelerates now. I have the Hass HTEV eliminator, an Erion slip-on, gearing is -1/+1 and the rear tire has about 75% tread left. Air filter is stock. I can't wait to get it to the dragstrip, as I am hoping for low 10s, possible high 9s as long as I can ride it right.

I would definitely recommend Cycle Trendz!

Take care,
Franc

Hey Franc - do you have a 954? I forgot last time we were in a thread chatting about sprockets and gearing.

Glad to hear that they treated you well. You must have done your research if you drove from NY to VA just for a tune up .

One of these days I hope to make it down there and have SB breathe on my RC. Maybe he could help me on my launches as well .

Re: Dyno'd and tuned at Cycle Trendz

Tuffy- I do have an '03 954. I'll post some pics hopefully in the next day or so. We ended up needing 128 links on the DID chain- SB estimated a 130 link chain so it worked out just right.

I took the bike down to a local twisty road that my friend with a Buell Lightning and I like to zip through. Initial impression with the extensions is that it's more reluctant to turn in but still feels well planted once you're leaned over. Mid corner corrections are still handled well by the bike. I always tell people that the 954 makes you look like a better rider than you actually are because of this! I think that with more seat time, I'll notice the extensions less and less. I have an adjustable rear ride height because of the Naarden Speedlink, so I'll try to raise the rear a little more and see if that helps with turn-in.

Still trying to work out a date to get my baby to the strip, I can't wait!

Take care,
Franc

Thanks Franc! We enjoyed meeting and chatting with you, and really glad you are happy with our work!!! Glad you made it back safe and like the new feel. Give us a call if you have any questions.

Ab, I don't know about that, I think you have enough seat time to teach me a thing or two.
