Abtech turned me on to Dan at Street and Comp earlier in the year, and I was able to get some DOT race tires in hard-to-get sizes at a good price and some other stuff.
This week, I made a bunch of unexpected progress "fabricatin' " brackets to fit bodywork on my previously naked (yet surprisingly unashamed) SV. I noticed, sort of belatedly, that I didn't have a windscreen. And neither did anybody else..
I called all the local suzuki shops and anyone likely to have the aftermarket screens in SE Michigan and Northern Ohio. " What color do you want?" "What color do you have in stock?" " Oh, we don't stock any of these.." I then went online to all the usual suspects, all of whom were willing to order the part and get it to me, but it would arrive much too late for this wekend's Putnam adventure.
Dan not only had the right part in stock, he made sure I got it in time, during this holiday -shortened week.

When I told him I was amazed he had the thing, his response was " I like to amaze people."
That's a pretty far cry from the attitude one usually gets.
Now let's see if it adds a couple MPH down the straight.
Street and Comp is definitely on my "A" list, along with Cal-Sportbike and a few others.
