| GPR STABALIZERS- horrible customer service I bought a GPR Stabalizer from Indy Superbikes and when I recieved it everything looked to be in order. I was installing the stabilizer when I came across a problem with my steering stem nut, there was'nt alot of room between the nut and the mount but I figured that I just had to go find a 41mm socket to fit. Three days and 35 bucks later I still had no damper on the bike so I read the instructions again and on the very back of the last page there was a list of models the would need a new nut, my RC was on there with a ? next to the model. So at this point im frustrated and even more mad that GPR didn't send me a very critical part of my kit and it ended up costing me money due. I called GPR and explained to them the situation and they told me that all the RC's might be different and because of that they want you to call to order a new nut. I explaind the inconveinence(sp) of ordering the damper from one company then haveing to figure out on my own that I need a different part and when I do I need to call the manufacture to order it. I told them that I wanted it overnighted and they said sure but I had to pay the freight! He made me feel like its my job as a consumer to do there job of finding out which year needs what part. They should be including a nut w/ every kit that "may" need it or should be doing a little bit more R/D on fitment to prevent having there customers needing to make 2 orders pay s&h twice and take twice as long to make their part work. So I called Indy Superbikes back and purchased that Scotts (flawless all around) and of course returned the GPR. I felt like everyone should know about them not wanting to make customers for life and loose 15 bucks in freight to make a happy customer. |

| Re: GPR STABALIZERS- horrible customer service Thats suprising, I bought a used GPR and the nut that came with the hardware did not fit the 954. The overnighted 3 nuts to my house no charge, and they knew I did not purchase the dampner new. |

| Re: GPR STABALIZERS- horrible customer service I would have assumed all SP1s would use the same nut and all SP2s the same nut. What a crappy company can't even do their own work. The scotts is a much better choice as its an Ohlins anyway. All I had to buy (after the damper purchase) to install my Ohlins piston damper was a 31mm socket.

| Re: GPR STABALIZERS- horrible customer service I am sorry about your bad experience. As often happens, who you speak to may be a bad representative of the company you are dealing with.
My experience with GPR was just the opposite. When my stabilizer arm didn't fit the bracket, they sent a "modified" replacement, overnight with no charge.
I think GPR makes a good prouct. Having said that: I was so happy with my Scott's on the 929 that I would have ordered one again, but they were not available for the '04 blade. |

| Re: GPR STABALIZERS- horrible customer service Im a manager for Discount Tire Co. and our buisness is based on customer service and overall satisfaction with everything we have to offer. So for me have to go through this bad service my self you can imagine that amount of patience that I had and for them, and to make me feel like they way they did took alot of negative attitude and just flat out not caring for the customer. To top it off when I got my Scotts I start reading the instructions and it continued to repeat the ssn nut size and even included a spacer for the farring bracket even though some 03 rc-51's dont need it. GPR could learn a few things from Scotts. |

Didn't really have any issues with my Scotts besides the sleeve on the pin breaking during a session on the track and all of the sudden having no damper. Was wondering why the 954 started headshaking so much..lol |

| Re: GPR STABALIZERS- horrible customer service yeah I can hook up some tires!! I am also a little concerned about that pin also just cuz it looks like it might be a little weak...that why I liked the GPR is cuz they used a clamp mount instead of a pin mount... we will see on nov-19 if it breaks.(knock on wood)...yeah I saw your bike last year at the west track, I had the polished out rc-51... I was driving a white tahoe lowered on 22's |
