Hey, since you're using reefatx's computer, would it be a fair assumption that you actually know this guy?

If so, can you please direct his attention to these threads and tell him it would be great if he'd send these people thei parts he promised them or refund their money?

It's not based on IP.... It's more devious than that. They are definitely using the same EXACT computer.

Input IP and the link below shows the general location for the asshat.

I took the lat and long from my ip location and used google maps to zero in.

It was 10 miles off from my apartment.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention guys.

I was freaked out at first, now it's pretty obvious. Yeah, the guy is a friend of mine, but lives on the far side of town from me. I guess when he came over to a party last weekend he used my computer. I have no doubt it's from this IP or whatever, I remember him using it. I knew he was parting a wrecked 954 out, no idea he was selling things on this forum. Let me look at the sales and see what's up.

OK, well I looked through the two links provided. First, I want to say I have absolutely no remorse for people who rip people off online, especially on forums where a certain amount of trust must be given for a transaction to occur and there is little to no protection.

As far as those who didn't get their money back or whatever, I have no excuse and it's none of my business but if I talk to him this weekend I'll give him $hit for it. I know he is having some serious $$$ problems, but that's no excuse in my book.

As far as my rep goes, I have the SN sahtt on tons of forums all over the web, all 100% honest and on many I've bought/sold stuff on, with 0 issues or complaints whatsoever. Ones you guys might know SBN, cycleforums, etc. I don't want to get an undeserved bad image because I have already learned a lot here and want to continue to do so. You guys helped me pick out a damper significantly.

Besides what I noticed about the thermostat, what other specific things do you want me to ask him about?

ConqSoft, I'm trying not to lose my temper here because I understand your assumptions. However, I'm in college, I live in an apartment, I leave my laptop IN THE LIVING ROOM, and tons of people come over on a weekly basis. I don't mind people using it/checking their email etc.

I joined here recently because I bought a 954RR to replace my bandit about a month or two ago. The front end is twitchy [to me] and on google this site kept coming up. To look at the pictures of the hyperpro damper, I had to join the site. That's it. I'd appreciate you refraining from calling me a scammer, muchless child rapist, based on the fact he used my computer. I'd like to help how I can but bottom line you bought from some random guy who probably didn't have a lot of reputation here, I'm guessing. I'm sorry you haven't got your parts yet etc. and I said I'm willing to go out of my way to potentially help.

Did anyone pay him with a money order or paypal? Either would have had a name/address associated with the payments.
