I know it's been said before, but I will say it again. indysuperbikes.com is a great place to do business with.

Luckily for me they are local and I can just go and pick things up. But even if you're not local, pick up the phone and call them if you are looking for something specific or just have a question and those guys can usually help.

I bought my D.I.D. ERV chain from them and it was at least $20 less than anywhere else I found it.

Sadly no. I talked with one of the local parts managers at one of the dealerships and he pretty much told me I am SOL as far as buying a new back piece. He knew exactly what I needed and it was obviously not the first conversation he had about them. He recommended I contact salvage yards both locally and online. I probably sent out email requests to about 30 different salvage places that had a website or contact information. I only got one response out of those 30 and that was a guy wanting to sell the entire gauge unit for $ 300.

I'm thinking at this point I may buy a unit off of ebay, take off the back piece I need so my mileage and everything will be correct, put my back on the gauge I buy and then just resell it. Even at a loss, I will still be getting the back piece I need.

I know I am way late in responding to this but do they have a storefront? If so are their in-store prices the same as their online prices?

Yes they do and yes they are. They work in a business park just North of 96th Street near the Fry Electronics and just North of the Wal-Mart. It's a pretty small place. They've told me they are mostly an internet shop. I think they maintain the storefront to get additional manufacturers that require you to have one.

Re: Indysuperbikes.com

Jeff, is the tab on your gages broken? I just modded mine, it was broken. I screwed a piece of aluminum to the back roughly the same shape and drilled a hole in it. Be carefull and use very sort screws, I took my gages apart to make sure the screws didn't hit the circuit board.

Re: Indysuperbikes.com

I ended up buying a gauge on ebay that had all the tabs. I swapped the back off it to mine. Now I need to sell the one with the broken tabs. I've just not gotten around to listing it.

Re: Indysuperbikes.com

Finally found my way to their store, which thankfully for me is only 15 minutes away. Its not a great big place but they have an amazing selection for their size (plus I assume tons more in their stock room). And everything they have is top notch. I could've dropped some serious dime in there easily. The sales guy was damn helpfull too.

As a comparison the place I normally shop at wanted $159 for a Pitbull stand. Indysuperbike's was $129.

They sell the gloves I want. AGV GPA gloves i think is the name of them. Nice price too. That's next on my gear buying list.
