| eBay 954 Solo Cowl Bought a solo cowl from 231973bikes on ebay... here's a link to the auction eBay Motors: HONDA CBR954RR 954 SOLO SEAT COWL NEW! W/SCOOPS RED (item 130084135750 end time Mar-07-07 18:08:42 PST) anyways, it sucks doesn't even come close to fitting. The guy doesn't speak a lick of english either so good luck getting your money back. Now I have a stupid cowl sitting on my desk that I can't do anything with. If anybody wants to buy it for $50 and try to fit it themselves I'll be glad to give it to you. | |

| Re: eBay 954 Solo Cowl I went straight to Targa - bought it online through their web site: Welcome to Targa Accessories Online and it was on my doorstep in a day or two. It was $89.00 more but it's a Targa, it took 10 minutes to install, and it fits like a glove. I highly recommend you check it out. Sorry about the screwing that guy gave you on Ebay. Slam him with negative feedback. Maybe that will scare others away! Especially if you say it doesn't fit...

| Re: eBay 954 Solo Cowl Gotta research before you buy. Also a guy with that many negatives I wouldnt deal with. I liked the Targa one as well but I ended up getting a new factory Honda one at a good price $70. It would be nice if the cowl slipped on over the seat instead of replacing the seat but o well. The one thing mine didnt have is the foam/rubber pad. Ive been looking around and cant seem to find anything that would work for that. Any ideas? |

| Re: eBay 954 Solo Cowl yep you can get stick back foam like they use on them at home depot, it's used for garage door insulation, or make one with some upholstery foam and vinyl. |

| Re: eBay 954 Solo Cowl It's pretty easy to make your own seat cowl. All you need is a fiberglass resin setup you purchase from any home depot or paint shop. Steps: 1.Get a regular seat remove the leather 2. Mix the hardner with the resin. Very little hardner. Too much will harden the resin fast. 3. Pour on the seat and spread with a brush. 4. Continue that until it harndens and do it about three times. 5. After you are done you have a seat cowl ready to be painted any color you want. 6. I made my own and had it airbrushed. It takes about 2 hours to make. Only because you have to wait for each layer applied hardens. Good project to do on a weekend when you are bored. |
