Re: RIPPED OFF BY CRAZY FREDDY

This has been an interesting thread. The original poster has not been heard from again, but the Business Owner has stated his side. Props to him for apparantly being a stand up guy. I think most of us long-time riders have had bad experiences with dealers, and have some we will never deal with again. I personally will not deal with the Honda Shop in my hometown,(Little Rock, AR) because they are ridiculously overpriced. I called them last Wednesday for a price on a 954RR Battery. They quoted my $119.99 plus tax. After I hung up the phone and stopped laughing, I called the shop back in Boise that I regurlarly do business with, and they quoted me $68.99 plus tax. Businesses are in operation to make money, some try to make it all on one deal, others try to make a little and form a long-term relationship. They know they can make more over the long-haul if they keep me as a customer. I am certainly not taking a side here, as I don't truely know the facts, but this forum is for discussion of our hobby-passion-addiction. There has been good dialoque here, and I believe that's the whole point of starting a thread. Good luck to the original poster with getting his problems resolved, and good luck to Freddy, hopefully he will run a successful business with happy customers.

You bought the bike for invoice less rebates and holdback. I have your paperwork.

I did make a mistake by trying to put a deal together on a Honda for you in Massapequa when I should of just sent you to Freeport from the begining. My apologies. I believe the difference in the price that we spoke about in Massapequa to what you paid in Freeport was about $200. We are willing to make it up to you. Once again my apologies.

Jim
Which is it?
Did you give him estimates or did you make a deal you could not deliver?

You cannot do both.

Jim
I apprecate your offer once again. However, it is still meaningless to hear it from you. Should I repeat myself why? If your company is really willing to "make it up" to me then do it. Send me a check in the mail. Don't keep saying things that you simply just can't deliver. Empty promises!!!

Please stop misleading other people on the forum. The offer was accepted by you, not the freeport store. That's why I had to re-negotiate the deal with the manger at the freeport store after you trick me away. As a consumer, I really don't care which of your store is authorized to sell what. As long as you accepted the deal and are willing to honor it, I have no problem visiting all 4 stores if that's what it takes to close the deal. But the difference here is, you trick me away without giving me the original paperwork with your signature on it. You simply wanted to send me away so you can trash the paperwork because you made a losing deal.

For your record, the difference between what you agreed to and what I paid at the freeport store is exactly $250. I would have gladly offered this much more to you had you been upfront with me like the guy did at the freeport store. Instead, you chose to turn things around and upset people.

I always share my buying experiences (regardless if they are positive or negative ones) with my friends and family. I tend to let everyone know so they know where to/not to shop.

I really have nothing against the dealership. It's just the way this Jimmy guy treated me gave me such a bad taste in the mouth. On top of that, he is still acting like he did the right thing. That's why I said I wouldn't believe a word he said about the "free" stuff and "make it up" part unless it comes directly from Freddy's mouth.

The employees make the dealership. Not the other way around. If you have issues and a distrust with an employee you have issues and distrust in the deaer, because that is who you are dealing with......the employees........ The ones who are hired to do a job and be an extension of the employer.

The apologies from him came so quickly and frequently because there are so many readers here looking this thread. Just in case if you are wondering, I didn't get any of these offers and apologies from him that day I was there at the dealership. All I got was unnecessary aggravation, poor treatment and lies.

Kaveman,

I had my manager Jimmy respond to your post, as he was the employee responsible for dealing with you @ the Massapequa Store. I agree with you. I confronted Jimmy on what actually happened and the answer I received was that you came to Massapequa and made an offer on a Honda Jimmy accepted that offer (not an estimate as he posted earlier for reasons I can explain on the phone with you). Once I found out that Massapequa was in the process of selling a Honda, I told Jimmy he can not do that as it is against our franchise agreement. He then sent you to Honda in Freeport to finalize the deal. The manager in Freeport should of honored the deal that Jimmy should never of made with you to start. Umberto the Manager in Freeport is a straight shooter and needed the $250 to make the deal. Please PM or email me your address so I can have my office reimburse you the $250 that you were overcharged.

I agree that if this matter was handled properly by my staff from the beginning none of this would of happened. Please accept my sincere apologies for you inconvenience. The free Jacket or Helmet offer still stands if you are interested. My direct line is 516-795-6400 Ext 133. I hope we can continue to do business in the future and not let a $250 mistake on such a valuable purchase stand in our way.

Mr. Ippolito,

Thanks for your response. I truly appreciate you standing up and doing the right thing to turn this bad experience around. I will certainly contact you to get the $250 back as I wholeheartedly believe that I never should have paid it had Umberto honored the deal made by Jimmy in the first place.

It's great to know that my bad experience was probably an independent case since I can see from your reply that you truly value your customers.

I will keep everyone posted about the refund check. I look forward to getting the check and doing more business with you. We'll see if I can recommend your dealerships to all of my friends for their motorcycle needs.

Thanks again.

Re: RIPPED OFF BY CRAZY FREDDY

Complaints are from unsatisfied customers for the most part. Threads/Forum posts, etc.. may have been created by Tom C's crew or the guys in Riverhead, the old Thomas spot, etc...but the majority of the complaints, **** talking and bad blood comes from the riding community on Long Island. People I ride with, people I have met, all say the same thing...The previous owner of the place on Jericho was and is a rip off artist. Everyone on LI knows that Rollo guys full of crap and Tom C is even fuller. So do yourself a favor and don't go to the Bayshore spot but then again your better off staying away from all the Crazy Freddy too. First off don't sign **** that isn't complete...That's just stupid. Friends have in Commack location as well as Massapequa and have had same issues. I was at one of the locations one night and a disgruntled customer came in yelling about the same types of price told and price billed/warranty situation. Look up ripoffreport.com and enter Crazy Freddy's. Same old story. The BBB info is a joke as well as most of the guys I know who have been suckered or got crappy service wont bother to go on the BBB deal. It's too bad too cuz some of the guys are cool at Fred's places. Haven't been down in a while but there was a guy in parts who choked all the time...You could just chill and BS with him forever. Anyway they are all out there to yank ya but some more than others. It's just like common discussion round the island that you should go somewhere other than LI Cycle in Bayshore and Crazy Freddy's. And agin its sad cuz Massapequas a nice spot...Just can't trust em.

Just so you know, Crazy Freddy's has no affiliation with Tom C., Fred Rollo, or riverhead.

Did you have a bad experience in one of my stores? Most people on this thread have not, but heard that someone did. Things do get exaggerated sometimes after a story is told to many people... I have the best bunch of employees we have ever had. When we took over the store from Tom C, and Fred Rollo we got mixed up with their reputation way too often.

Re: RIPPED OFF BY CRAZY FREDDY

Ive got to admit, this thread has been a great read. It was also a learning experience for those who are ready for a new bike and will be working with a dealership. This thread has made me reminisce about my purchase this last August and what went right and what I could have done better. All in all I'm happy because once you ride out of that lot it shouldn't matter anymore.

I haven't used ANY threatening language in this thread anywhere.
Then that gutless wonder won't receive PMs. How on earth is he a mod?

I had given this place a second chance after the second ownership change out of respect for the original owner and our original group.
It's even worse with idiots like this given mod powers.

This thread had very educational information in it. Now, all of the sudden some guy pays the sponsor fee and all mods are bowing to his wishes.

Pathetic.
I'm with Getsome and will pretty much cease here again.
If I would have known Conq was serious about selling the joint before the original mess - that also had threads deleted for some stupid reason - then he would have had my money and this place wouldn't have gotten so screwed the last year and a half.

How does offering to bury someone have anything to do with bad deals from crazy freddy? Or saying "Kick his ass." Hammer? Getsome said "ass beating" or "kick their ass across the showroom." And why did you say " Sorry for the language" if there was nothing to say your sorry for? So those comments don't fall under this rule?

The offer to "bury" someone was a reference to the amount of rep that he had and the fact that he had enough "rep power" to "bury" the guy in negative rep. That is in no way any of the items listed in #1
