| Crazy Freddy's Motor Sports I will attempt to start a new thread devoted to questions about my industry.
If anyone who doesn't live local enough to buy from us, or even if you do I will answer any questions you might have about the purchase of a new or used motorsport vehicle.
Sorry, I can't answer too many service questions, but feel free to call my store @ 516-795-6400 Ext 102 for service or Parts
I am willing to discuss any topics such as financing, warranties, trade-ins, hot product, selling techniques.
I'm not the smartest guy in the world, but I know how to sell bikes. Please feel free to ask me anything.
I would hope that this thread can stay on the topic that I am offering.

| Re: Crazy Freddy's Motor Sports I haven't found one owner of a buisness actually offer his phone number out to his customers for them to ring them if they have problems.
If I do move to America, I sure will drop in and say hi - might even take a CBR off your hands
Take care and all the best,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,

| Re: Crazy Freddy's Motor Sports Have always wondered how a dealership works. Do you have to purchase your units and merchandise from the manufacturer at a set price and then resell them? Or, do you (as an authorized dealer) order as needed then pay the manufacturers once you have made the sale?
How does that process work? I don't have a clue. |

| Re: Crazy Freddy's Motor Sports We have 2 order periods a year. We need to be correct when we order.
The deliveries come in pretty much throughout the year regardless if they are sold or not. The factory gets paid as they ship the units. Most dealerships have inventory financing (Floor Plan)
Yes we have a set price and all dealers pay the same. We get extra money back (rebates) (inventory credits) because of our volume.
It cost a heck of a lot of money to offer the selection we do. We have over $15,000,000 in inventory right now (i might be understating that). It grows towards the spring. |

Smooth,
do you mind sending me a PM or a phone call when you need something?
This thread was not intented for that. It's about how delaerships work.
You know someone that is alleging somthing. There is no reason to use the word "Screwed" when we haven't even sat down yet and looked at the deal.
I'm willing to work with you, but please stop taking little "bites" @ me.
Thanks,
Fred |

The person who made those false allegations worked for me. He apologized yesterday, picked up his final commission check and agreed to remove everything from the site. This is my livelihood, opinions and personal experiences are fine with me. Lies and damaging my business for entertainment is not.
I have always been truthful to you and everyone else. If anyone has issues I will handle them, enough said. |

The other thread got completly out of hand and solved nothing, this one hopefully will give the members an insight to what actually happens in a dealership if it is given the chance. |

I have to add that on Friday night my mind was pretty made up that my purchase would not be at Crazy Freddy’s since I had lost some valuable shopping time on Thursday when they could not give me the deal I was looking for. I must tell you that I am a hard sell, a very hard sell. The sales dept was very pleasant and professional but just could not close the deal that I had in mind. Probably since the deal I had in mind was really not practical. I spent more time on the net Thursday night in search of the best deal when I found this forum and the “screwed by Freddy” post. As I had been there about 3 times that week it of course caught my attention and although it was not the original posters intention it was what got Fred my business (and all future business). You have to applaud the man for how he handled himself in that thread. I called Fred on Saturday morning to take him up on his offer to speak with anyone re: business at his stores and told him my situation. He told me he would call me back in 20 minutes and that we would be doing business together. He called me back in 15. My wife and I went in and, although the store was busy, Fred took the time to see that we left there as happy customers. We did. The deal Fred gave us was above and beyond what I had hoped to get. Thanks for the great deal Fred. There are going to be 3 happy kids this Xmas. I will stop in and drop off some pictures of the Kids on their new TTR 125’s wearing their Crazy Freddy’s T-Shirts. Also please feel free to use me as a reference if you ever have the need. Rob has my cell #. It’s yours to give out. Bill Z P.S.
Thanks for the coffee and donuts too. |

Salespeople get a very small base salary. Volume incentives. I give commissions and big "spiffs" for most left overs and slow moving items.
Hard working salespeople can make good money. It's a very goal based pay plan.
I'm sorry I can't be more specific. |

The fact that he stayed level headed, took care of the one with a logical complaint, and was able to discredit the disgruntled former employee who smeared his reputation and name without going apeshit proves he is better than me LOL. |

| Re: Crazy Freddy's Motor Sports Hi all, I'm new here, but have been riding Honda's since 1994, but currently have a 07 GSXR 750 that I purchased from Fred's Port Jefferson location. I'm considering the 08 CBR1K after sitting on it at the NYC MC show a few weeks ago.
Fred,
Being that I just signed onto this site, and read that whole previous thread about your business being under assault from all sides; and you signing on as a Sponser to defend it, has impressed the hell out of me. I was very impressed how you cowboy'ed up and took them head on, as well as reimbursing the one buyer money plus a gift certificate.
I purchased my 07 GSXR 750 late July from you PJS store, as I previously mentioned. The salesperson was super professional, and after speaking with me, he realized I knew a bit (being an ex-racer and 4 years of track days) and didn't try to shine me on or anything remotely similar to things mentioned in that previous thread. I actually responded to an advertisement in Newsday, for a new 07 GSXR 750, I was shocked and amazed when I saw the price, it was that good. I gave them the cash, and trucked the bike home, best bike and deal I ever received (I have purchased 5 new Hondas from Fun Wheels since 1994). This is the first bike purchase from you, but I'm sure it will not be the last.
