Hey, if you haven't already done so, you might try seeing if you get any better response in the forum for that part of the states. I'd have said this in a PM but I don't know if it's all the issues the board seems to have with images in the wrong places or what, but I couldn't find a PM button for you man. Sorry I can't do anymore to help.

Re: Need 411 on State 8

Around here, everyone refers to them as StateRape. Generally overpriced on parts and accessories...But, they do have a lot of nice bikes. I personally would never buy parts from them. I always get a MUCH better deal at Manuel Motorcycles in Tallmadge Ohio. But, I guess it depends on why you are wondering. Buying a bike? Dealer is always more expensive. Something more specific you wanted to know?

Re: Need 411 on State 8

I have been dealing with st8 for a long time and have always recieved a decent deal. Ask to speak with Eric in sales,he knows sport bikes and is a fair guy to deal with. This past aug. my 1000rr was stolen at mid ohio. I was in shopping around ...waiting for my ins. to pay out...a few days later I get a call from Eric about a cbr... same color, same year as the one that was stolen, that someone is getting ready to trade in at a different dealer a few hours away. I ended up getting this bike for 7000.00 only had 1200 miles on it. Even financed it through another dealership. My point is...he didnt make a dime off of the deal...but he got me back on a bike a week after the first one was stolen. I have bought a vmax,a 954, a 1000rr and a ninja 250 from them and have always been treated right. No way I can call them state rape!

Re: Need 411 on State 8

Wow, maybe things have changed over the years. Haven't dealt with them in a long time due to finding better deals elsewhere. Sounds like you got a good deal. Maybe it's who ya know. All that matters is you got a good deal. Maybe if the word gets around, noone will call them StateRape anymore. It's just what all the guys I know refer to them as. Keep it safe.

Re: Need 411 on State 8

Thanks guys. Point is they have 2008 CBR 1000RRs for $10,299 and the closest I come in PA is $11,399. The difference pays for shipping, insurance and taxes.

Does anyone know a cheaper offer than that?

That is the cheapest I have seen as well! The Cycle Trader also shows East Toledo Honda as selling them for $10,299.

Re: Need 411 on State 8

I even found a sale even cheaper than that one. How does $10,099 sound for a 2008 1000RR?

Honda 2008 CBR®1000RR Motorcycles

Makes you wonder if this is a crate sale.

Nice find! I wonder what the OTD price would be? The other two mentioned were about $100 added to the $10,299

Re: Need 411 on State 8

Talked to Eric at st8 today...he said the 10,299 price is if you pre order the bike now, before the dealers get them. They wont be in the showroom till march probably. But there are still prep and freight charges added to that price....still a good deal since you pay prep and freight charges on the higher price when they come in.
