CBR 900 body work from Hong Cong

Today I noted three sets of painted bodywork from a vendor in Hong Cong for sale on eBay. In reviewing the vendor's feedback profile, I see they have sold several sets with positive feedback given. Anyone on this site have an opinion? BC

I have an opinion on things from Hong Kong. If they're so good, wouldn't the OEMs use them? I bought a set of body panels for my 996 a while back for my Ducati that were no name. They weren't even the right size, no way they ever would have fit on any bike. Paypal got me my money back.

Probably not.
The manufacturer's produce their own bodywork on a much larger scale and thus for a lot less money and panels are a high turnover spare part which generates them a very nice profit.
When buying from China you have to accept that the price is possibly going to mean lower quality - although the fairings I've seen so far have been remarkably good - with little possibility of warranty replacement.
If you demand OEM quality pay the OEM price...

Just make sure thats theyre ABS plastic, not PVC or fiberglass. I ordered some off ebay, and they looked great, but the tail was fiberglass and cracked during installation, and the left and right fairings have melted due to heat from the exhaust. so i collected up a whole OEM set off ebay and am ijn the process of painting those to match, and the stuff from hong kong will become spares...
