| Re: I got well screwed Cabbie. I sent that guy (Dougiebegood) a private message calling him a scumbag for what he did to you, not expecting a reply. Well, he replied back saying his internet is messed up, he will be on soon to clear this up with you, and that your side of the story is not legitimate (that he sent you pics of exactly what you were getting). I said some harsh words to him, so I will not post the message and reply on here unless the admins wish. But, if you want a copy of what he wrote, let me know and ill foward it to you. I am going to be gone until late tomorrow afternoon.
Very messed up that he can respond to my random bash of him, but not post anything on the board to back up your claims. Wish you the best!! |

| Re: I got well screwed Look at it this way:
Why in Gods name would I or anyone for that matter willingly hand over $500 + $160 shipping + £101 UK customs for items only good for the garbage?
He showed be two full pages of "a" bike front end that looked good, at no time did he point out the wheel was ****ed and the forks were just as damaged.
The minute I sent the payment he deleted ALL the photobucket files of the bike shown!!!!!!! |

| Re: I got well screwed Well lets see guys. Looks like this has definately been blown outta proportion big time.
I for one, dont have internet access, i have a blackberry that has internet with a super slow browser.
First off,
The picture of what was being purchased were shown and they were used, as is. He made an offer based on that, and we had a deal. I mean seriously, i followed all the steps that this forum requires in order to sell something.
I offered him X amount of money in exchange for this, he declined it. He persisted that I reimburst him an X amount of dollars, he said that he follow up with paypal to get that money. I did the right thing at first, but yet im labled as the bad guy. Now i"ve got all this threatning pms, posts and all this garbage, harassment is definately an issue. If anyone will be visiting Florida to see me, I've already followed up with my local law enforcement agency.
I have had said what I've had to say to Morgan between emails, tried to reason, didnt work. This is by far the first transaction IVE EVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH.
AS for that fella who posted that link of my photobucket with the picture of Doug DeBad, its a nick name, not some common characterstic that follows me online.
Oh and reason for pictures being deleted, i delete them as parts sell. Makes it easier for the buyer to browse the pictures that much easier. Its common courtesy.
I did not post a red and black 929, it was a 954 on my photobucket, my brothers bike.
Sheesh, I dont get online for a few days, and everything gets manipulated.
You all have a good evening, I'll be back online when I have access to another computer.
If anything else needs to cleared up, I'll be glad to speak over the phone.

| Re: I got well screwed Here's the up to date report:
The front wheel he sent me is beyond repair, I've purchased a good wheel from D&K spares here in the UK for £115
The forks I sent to firefox racing to be straightened and rebuilt, they called to say both forks were to badly damaged and not worth doing, I've asked them to go ahead and do the work anyway, they estimate it'll cost £350 BUT at least I'll know they are perfect. |

I did not post a red and black 929, it was a 954 on my photobucket, my brothers bike. | First, internet access - you're clearly and very easily proved A LIAR.
Second, you mean you sent him close-up pictures of the dents and rust in the wheel, the bent fork and deteriorated dust seals so he'd know _exactly_ what he was buying? Let's see the pictures you posted...
Third, I'm that "fella" and I can see now why the nickname follows you around...
Fourth, deleting pictures out of courtesy - bullshit!
Fifth, the red/black 929 you have listed on half the internet for sale...I wonder why this link doesn't go anywhere today????? 2001 929rr, $2950 OBO W/Clean Title
For a guy who's sig says he's "obssessed with motorcycles" you sure do spend a _lot_ of time selling them...

Part of allowing items to be sold here is being able to respond to questions, communicating with the buyer and since he has doesn't have Internet access, he would not be able to fulfill his end. |

thats why doug did what he did. all internet scammers got the same routine. advertise a product. send garbage or nothing at all. when i first started really getting into the custom car seen i remember there was a guy on ebay selling custom hood hinge relocation kits for cars and trucks. needless to say one guy on a forum bought the kit and got a bunch of cheap hardware from home depot and some cheap hinges you would use on a small gym locker. nothing he could even use on a car.
poor cabbie got trash for cash. cause he is in london and not the usa this clown probably figured he was an easy target.
doug you should refund the mans money "all of it" |

| Re: I got well screwed I sure hope Doug didn't use USPS to ship the goods. If he did, then mail fraud comes into play and since USPS was part of the government, the crime would be a felony. Nothing like having a felony on your record. When you apply for a job, you need to disclose it. Some companies will fire someone if they have a felony record; not wroth the liability. Want to have a gun; nope, try again. |

"Punishment for a conviction under the mail fraud statute is a fine or imprisonment for not more than five years, or both. If, however, the violation affects a financial institution, the punishment is more severe: the statute provides that "the person shall be fined not more than $1,000,000 or imprisoned not more than 30 years, or both.""

NOTE: Consider offenses of comparable seriousness as a felony. In doubtful cases, apply the following rule:
If maximum confinement under state or local law exceeds 1-year, treat the offense as a felony.
A "felony" will be defined as a conviction or adverse adjudication by civil authorities (foreign or domestic), or action taken which is tantamount to a finding of guilty of an offense for which the maximum penalty is death or confinement under state or local law exceeding one year, regardless of state or local laws.
An offense will be classified a "felony" without regard to the offender's age when the offense was committed, or whether the offense was disposed of by juvenile or adult criminal proceedings. An offense classified as a felony above, will be classified as a felony for enlistment, regardless of state or local law.
In rare instances an offense may be classified as a single incident felony if more than one felony results from a single incident. Generally, if the multiple incidents are not separated by space and time, they may be considered as a single incident for waiver purposes. In order to be considered, the multiple felonies must be related and must derive from a single incident. For example, a housebreaker who steals a stereo might be considered a single incident felony for 1) felony burglary and 2) felony theft.
A single felony requires a waiver. More than one felonies are disqualifying, and no waiver is authorized."
| I would say not very good. Given that it would be recent and that if he has to go to court, then he can't be on a ship or even in training. They would probably at least wait until the matter was closed and then see what the outcome was. |
