| Re: Knutsford Honda Motorcycle Dealer - Never going there again! I agree with Sideshow...... The issue is not that someone errs (to err is human, after all) but how it is put right that counts ....
If the dealership had said, "sorry - well put it right.... right away" this thread would not be here....we should all be able to learn from our mistakes (like Loopy says)
But Loopy --- if they are prepared to fix the work Fireblades.org should be prepared to pull the thread.....
After all, another thread could be started.... riderpowersurvey - fireblade.org.... who's good and who's not, how to get shoddy work corrected - heres an example we had earlier etc etc etc.. |

| Re: Knutsford Honda Motorcycle Dealer - Never going there again! Sorry, but i agree with Loopy. As a dealer, threads like this help to keep everyone in line as far as customer service and workmanship. I would keep it open and updated for everyone to see how the dealer is going to fix a problem, not close the thread and hide it. That would be a disservice to the forum members and anyone else looking up this shop. Its sad that Ant had to take drastic measures to get this resolved, but it serves as a lesson to everyone that customer service is what keeps a good dealership going, and in this crappy economy dealers have to stay on top of their game and keep customers happy to stay in the game. |

| Re: Knutsford Honda Motorcycle Dealer - Never going there again! A company who does shoddy work and will not own up/find a solution AND put it right (I didn't ask for my wheels to be scratched) is a no no for me.
A company who owns up if a mistake it made (after all, we are all humans), sees what is happening and takes action into dealing with the problem and finding a solution is a company I will return to.
I hope they do a good job on the wheels (and any other problems you have regarding their workmanship...)
Like you said, its not the owners fault completely - I guess its a learning curve for both himself and his company.

Well I complained, sent emails and all sorts and the end result............. 10% off my new brake light switch!!!! Was I happy? Was I hell
There is no way on this planet they are ever going to work on any bike of ours EVER again, and I will quite happily warn other riders of the way they treated my bike.. In fact I was speaking to someone at the weekend who has also had 'difficulties' with them due to their workmanship, or lack of!!! They also warn people not to go there if they need work done on a bike..
As has been said, in the current economic climate customer service has to be at the forefront of everything.. If we put our bikes into a shop to be worked on we expect the techs to treat OUR bikes with more care than even we would, afterall they are being paid to do a top notch job.. If they aren't, and peoples bikes are being damaged, the management needs to be looking at the training of the staff and, if necessary, replacing those who aren't up to scratch.. |

| Yes, I agree. In my heart the wheel issue is over now, theyve turned my new perfect bike to scratched & second hand, well it was bound to happen sometime.
All I want is for Nobody else to fall victim again.
If Knutsford Honda turn things around, get a few happy customers under their belt, then they could turn this publicity back in their favour.
We should keep the thread and if they can come upto standard, change the "Never going there again" in the thread name, to whatever we agree on?
IMHO Theyve messed-up and now theyve been caught, but I dont want them to go out of business, unless its necessary. |

| Re: Knutsford Honda Motorcycle Dealer - Never going there again! Seeing how you've definitely got the owners attention and the attention of potential future customers of their shop, if they resolve this situation to your satisfaction and you do decide to take the bike back to them for maintenance I'm willing to bet they'll work on your bike with white gloves and make double damn sure everything is done right. This may work out in your favor. Having a shop that knows you personally and the damage you can do to their reputation might ensure your bike at least is treated like a million dollars (or quid or euros or whatever) of potentially lost revenue.

| Re: Knutsford Honda Motorcycle Dealer - Never going there again! True, they could try creeping to me but we want more than that.
Ive sat at work dreaming about getting a new bike, then they carelessly do all that damage to it, lie to my face saying "we saw you bring it in like that". Not on my watch!! No f***ing Way!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YGc4zOqozo
American airlines broke this guys guitar, he asked for $1200 dollars for a repair and they said no. He made this vid and its gone to no1 in the country music chart :lol
My dad told me about this youtube vid, so I made a vid of my own infront of their store.
If Knutsford honda say no to compensation, then ive also got the usuall legal channels plus the credit card company. Its all down to the attitude of the owner though. |

| Re: Knutsford Honda Motorcycle Dealer - Never going there again! Is it just me or do other people do it too? After belonging to different forums/clubs over the years, I now by default always put in (on Google) their companies name and check for customer service/reviews etc. It'll probably cost them dearly if they fail to recifty the problem.
What we must not do is gun the owner down if he was to come on here - he deserves his chance to share his opinion on the events that took place and deserves his chance to offer his soloution before the angry mob threaten to remove one of his *insert text here* with Loopy's friend - Rusty the Knife.

Hopefully the trouble you are going through will prevent a lot of unknowing riders from going through the same trouble when they take their bikes in.

| Yes, Eric(the owner) deserves a chance and ive invited him to join, I think thats his best line of re-coarse. After all I believe he was in the dark on this issue, I feel a bit sorry for him really. Its possible that the manager thinks f***ing customers over is the best way to increase proffits and make it look like he's doing a good job. |

The manager/employees need to be examined to ensure a high standard is maintained IMO... and that nothing like this occurs. Quote:

| Re: Knutsford Honda Motorcycle Dealer - Never going there again! The owner never replied, so im going to post a video on youtube to warn others to take pics first.
Last weekend, going to rockingham trackday, a ratchet strap broke and the bike lent over 45 degrees on the bike trailor, scratching my front rim even more.
I sort of figure, if im gonna run my bike hard and enjoy it, then ive got to get used to it getting dings. |

The only way it will ever stay pristine is if you keep her in the garage forever... and where's the fun in that? |

| Re: Knutsford Honda Motorcycle Dealer - Never going there again! Very very true
Two weeks ago I sold my K1 gsxr600 stunt bike to another stunter, because sentimentally I wanter her to get used propperly. I probably only got 50% of its value but I can sleep soundly knowing she's not gone to someone who cant pull a wheelie
any luck getting your scratched rim repaired LoopyLee? |

Todays paper told a story of an employee of theirs being killed in a motorcycle v Taxi accident. Jack Summer 24 was an accumplished rider, been racing for 2 years and died last saturday, but the paper didnt mention anything about how the accident happened.
Im pleased to say Jack wasnt one of the guys who I had trouble with a Knutsford Honda and im sure he will be missed. |
