Yup, dont buy off forums unless they have thousands of posts, and even then alot of people will just create another account and pocket the few hundred they can make by scamming. I learnt this the hard way, a guy screwed me over $160, never sent the exhaust and disappeared - no doubt karma will give him cancer of the penis though.

Perhaps I've been remarkably lucky but I've bought thousands of dollars worth from members here and can't speak more highly of the experiences. Never had the slightest problem with any seller.
I have been screwed a couple of times on Ebay with stuff never arriving but frankly, Ebay has saved me so much money I'm not complaining about it. And a few times getting stuff that is still good but isn't what I bought, like a set of '88 GSXR750 forks that were supposed to be off an '86 model - still worth keeping though so no big deal, and I went to Melbourne to pick up the '85 GSXR I'd bought on Ebay and discovered it had an Ohlins shock as an un-listed bonus :-)
Something I've had no luck with though is boots. Bought two pairs now and both were a size smaller than stated :-)

yeah i told the guy today karma wil cum back to get him and to enjoy the money and i hope he chokes on it cuz he realy txt me hahah told u id win and tried to rub in my face that they denied me a refund this guys immature and a crook i just hope that people c that and dnt buy from him again i got burned on ebay from ma friend he baught like 700 bucks worth of stuff for hhis 929 and never paid me so i had 8 strikes against my account up till that never had a negative feedback or experience except one time ordered a shorty pipe and gota fullsixe bolton scorpion it was for ma stock exhaust so i just sold it to a friend

I don't see why people have trouble using punctuation, typing entire words, spelling, and following basic grammar rules.

Sucks that you got ripped but it seems to me there is a few cautions for others:
1) no pictures = no sale
2) take into account the sellers posts. Not only count but go browse some. This might give you some insight into their outlook and habits
3) He posted stunting questions (I think some one said his rep got zeroed by such) I mean that is really destructive on a bike some of it on purpose (pounded down tanks etc). Personally I would not buy something from an acknowledged stunter.
4) After you meet some folks on the board you might be surprised at the help offered. Someone in the area might have been willing to go look at the parts for you. Where that is real nice is if you are buying a bike and traveling a long way to get it, someone might save you a weekend of driving. A lot of times if you ask you will be surprised.

Again sorry you got ripped but good luck on your paypal claim.

Oh and to a couple of folks in the thread.... The Shift key will make letters capital while complete words will make you come across as less squiddly

this will be my first and LAST reply to this topic.. BIGSEXY954RR - i told you there was damage... you admit it! so how would i say they were like new, but yet there are damage...

you said it didn't matter becasue you were having them painted..again the front fairing did not look like that when i sent it!, i told u about the tail, again the tail was 40 dollars and it costed me 40 dollars to ship these parts, so u got basically a free tail.. you can all hate me if u want, like i said, first and last post to this thread and ALSO the one i started..

thank you blade racer yes post pix of the fairings b4 u sent them because i took the pix asa i recieved well after i called u and u said that owell to bad no refunds ur. and the ONLY ddamage u said wen i asked if there was rash cracks or broken tabs u only told me there is slight rash and said besides that they are in like new condition especialy bcuz u were asking 175 for just the upper i would asume they would be in like new condition like u stated
