Good luck, I too have been in search of a used set for about two months now with no luck.

Thanks, good luck to you as well. There was a set on eBay for about 5 hours last Tuesday.

Cheers!

Re: WTB: Ohlins forks for 954

One advantage for buying them new (from Dan Kyle for example) would be you would get the correct springs for your weight. Just having Ohlins aren't going to help as much as having them setup properly. I have Ohlins on my 929, setup by Dan Kyle. They replaced the stock forks, which were tuned by Dan Kyle as well. I shouldn't have wasted the money on the Ohlins, Dan's reworked stockers worked just as well for my riding style. If you're looking to buy used to save money, you might try having Dan rework you stockers.

Re: WTB: Ohlins forks for 954

Thanks, Eatn. Fwiw, the Ohlins are no longer available new for the 954/929 and are getting rare on the used market. Since I'm prepping the bike for track duty next season, I'm going to have the send my stockers in for Dan's magic touch if I can't find any O forks soon.

Cheers!
Dan

Oh I didn't realize they aren't available any more. Good luck! By the way the 929 Ohlins fit on the 954 if you don't already know it.

Yep, I knew that. How much do you want for yours?

You know, it wouldn't be too hard to make some work. I had Yamaha R1 Ohlins on my 929.

I'd actually given that a lot of thought and at one point, was about ready to bolt on an RC front end so I could run the RC ohlins, but dropped the idea due to cost and complexity. Frankly, If I was going to do that, I'd go with an engineered solution using the Superbike forks from one of the race team selloffs.

Nahh, I'll just go with the DK treatment for now. In hindsight, I wish I'd held off on the full sato and PC and gotten the O forks for this bike when they were still available.

Really, I need to leave this bike alone and just get a pre-converted track bike. There's some great deals out there for prepped and modded arrr-thees. Just takes money.

Thanks!
Dan
