| Wanted: Steering Damper I have had my bike for about 2 months now. Have noticed some head shake on rough roads and sometimes when changing lanes on the freeway. I am looking for a damper for my 01 929. Let me know if you have one for sale or even if you know where to get a good deal on one. Thanks.

| Re: Wanted: Steering Damper 954 dampers don't fit 929's without the correct mounting kit, and vice-versa. |

| Re: Wanted: Steering Damper there website is funny, they dont give part numbers or anything when you go through and select a few different kits, but they do ask what year 929 00 or 01, and 02 or 03 for the 954! what difference does that make? |

| Re: Wanted: Steering Damper The 954 tank is closer to the steering head, and a 929 mount will rub a 954 tank. I put an Ohlins damper on my 954 in early '02, and it came with the 929 mount. It sat at a funny angle and rubbed the front of the tank. When I got the 954 mount - it took a couple months - it was very different.
I'm sure the same rubbing issues arise with the sissy rotary dampers. |

| Re: Wanted: Steering Damper I have a Sprint mounting bracket for 25mm top mount cylinder type damper. It's really nice and pretty much like new. I think it will work with most short top mount style dampers if you can find one. |
