WTB enclosed trailer

Looking to buy a 7 X 14 but a 6 X 12 will do.

Come on some of you racers are looking to upgrade and need to keep up with the Jones's.

Re: WTB enclosed trailer

Check the WERA and NESBA boards. There's always a couple of trailers for sale there.

Been looking there, most of them are on the east coast. Kind of looking for something in the mid west. Also found some new ones on e-bay for around 3k but way down in Ga.

I purchased mine locally and got a great deal. The manufacturer is in Indiana and may have what you are looking for down there.

Good point. Several large trailer manufacturers are right in your backyard, Hammer.

Re: WTB enclosed trailer

Several of the regular eBay trailer guys have pickup locations at the factory here in Indiana somewhere. I'm starting to look myself. Super Dave has his big 'ole trailer for sale for a reasonable price considering the size and all.... 18' enclosed trailer

Nice trailer, just too big for now. I know I will regret getting a small trailer but I only have the Ranger to pull it with for now. Looking more along the 6X12 range and would like to find one used to save some $$$. Just trying to outfit a bike and buy the necessary goodies is getting expensive. There goes the kids college fund......wait.... that went last year. Oh well.

You had mentioned 3K. I think you can do better than that on a new 7 by 14 with dual axles and electric brakes at the place I linked.

I don't know if I'd be brave enough to pull a 7x14 with a Ranger, Hammer.

my is a 7x12 plus some due to how they measure it. However I have a full size GMC Sierra with the little V8. I could pull more pull it would not be fun.

He He

Short story about the Ranger

When Kayboy moved to Indiana from Louisiana we loaded up both of our bikes his 03' GSXR 1000 and my 80' CB 750f in the back of the "Mighty Ranger" and the loaded all his wordly possessions in a 6 X 12 u-haul trailer and headed north without a problem. The trip is 860 miles one way. Kind of poor gas mileage but she made it.

I am planning on a new vehicle for next year though.

I'm very aware of the Mightyness of the Ranger as I've had two of them. I was just making sure that you knew that it might be a bit of a struggle. Get a bigger tranny cooler at the least.

I pulled my 6x10 cross country with a 2WD Silverado with the big V8 in 02, I thought it sucked.

It's how I ended up with the D-Max.

Re: WTB enclosed trailer

Find a ~10 year old van and gut it. You'll only spend ~$2000, don't have to upgrade a truck, you'll end up with better overall fuel mileage and your bike will be safe and warm.
