If you have the time and equipment do what i did and make one, just borrow your mates and do an exact copy.
Saved myself $200 and it's as good if not better than a shop bought one.

I wish I had the time and equipment... but I'm going to school and I don't have the workplace to make one (though it would be really cool). I forgot to mention I'm looking for a stand made for spools.

Does the 954 have the same swingarm offset as the 929? If so, I have a Handy Stand I can do without. And I'm an hour away.

If that doesn't work, you can find plenty of new stands on eBay. You can get a set for under $200.

They can cost up to $300 in some bike shopps in Melbourne...

The top of the line stands in the US don't even go over $200. You can't beat the Pit Bull stands and the most expensive rear stand they sell is $145. Shipping is the killer and that is probably why you pay so much more for them.
