| ANY ONE SELLING A SUPERHAWK? I'M LOOKING TO BUY A SUPERHAWK.
IT WILL BE MY FIRST (OWNED) BIKE.
I AM REALLY LOOKING FOR A 2005 TITANIUM IN COLOR. I HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH IT.
BUT, I WILL TAKE A LOOK AT ALL YEARS AND MODELS.
IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFO OR SUGGESTIONS, IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

| Re: ANY ONE SELLING A SUPERHAWK? Why do you ask that?
I'm currently riding a 1994 GSX1100.
But, I'm looking for something a little more aggressive, and sporty.
Did I type something wrong in my first post? |

| Re: ANY ONE SELLING A SUPERHAWK? I have a friend that might be willing to sell his. he didn't give me a number because he concerned that he doesn't have the title because the bank does and he doesn't know how any of that would go down. I can ask him again if you'd like. Its a red 98. last summer we did new clutch fluid, might have done the brake fluid too but I forget, new chain and sprockets, new double bubble windscreen, and put on a nice used set of Micron pipes. only a couple hundred miles on that stuff since we did it. |

| Re: ANY ONE SELLING A SUPERHAWK? I SEE. THANK YOU FOR THE CLARIFICATION.
BUT, SUPERHAWK SOUNDS WAY COOLER THAN RC51, LOL
ARE THEY STILL CONSIDERED A VTR1000? |

| Re: ANY ONE SELLING A SUPERHAWK? add the optional lower fairing to the superhawk and tell me they are two different bikes, they both are vtwin 1000cc with side radiators and considered honda's sport touring.. you could put pictures of an 04 1000rr next to an 08 and say they are two different bikes by comparison as well.. but in honda's eyes it's just the next generation.. |

The RC51 was specifically built as a mass produced race bike, it never was and never will be considered a sport tourer. it continues the RC lineage in which every RC up until the 51 was hand built by HRC. Not sure if the RC was designed by HRC or not but it was still built as a race bike to take over to the RC45. The Superhawk was never a race bike. the only things they have in common are they are sporty v-twin powered motorcycles.
and it wasn't an optional lower fairing on the Superhawk, that's an aftermarket piece not made by Honda. |

There is no similarity b/n the two bikes at all except maybe for engine configuration.
Just from the pics I can tell you that the motor, frame, sub-frame, swing-arm, wheels, seat, tank, fairings, forks, bars and many other things are different.
.....and my '04 RC-51, which you have pictured, is the FARTHEST thing from a sport-tourer that I've ever ridden.
I'd like a chance to ride a SuperHawk. I've recommended them to my friends who are starting to shop for bikes. It would make a much better street bike than the RC if you plan on any distance, and that twin would sound awesome with a pipe.
