Sounds a little crazy I know, but I need the black plastic trim piece from the lower front edge of a large Quantum/f helmet. Mine flew off during a ride and Arai says they won't sell that part because it's not a normal replaceable part and the helmet is no longer under warranty. So if anyone has an old Quantum/f they no longer have use for please hit me up.

I had the same exact problem with my Quantum/f helmet but had different luck than you... they want me to send the helmet to them for professional repair at their cost (it's apparently more complicated than just sending you a strip of black plastic trim to be glued on by you). At the same time, they want to look over the helmet to make sure it's in good shape, etc. All I have to pay for is shipping the helmet to PA. The number I called is from the Arai website: 610-366-7220. Give it another try. Good luck!

Thanks. I asked at a local motorcycle shop and they said when they called Arai, they were told they wouldn't fix it

Was your helmet still under warranty?

Do you happen to have the name of the person you talked to? Maybe I'd have better luck if I phone myself.

Yes, you should call yourself. I talked to a man named Robert. The helmet was made in Sept 2000. Check the chin strap... the date is embossed there. My guess is that if your helmet was made around that time or later, you'll be fine.

If you do get it sorted by Arai, be sure to give them the dealers name that gave you the bollox story.

i could probably peel the one off my old quantum for you. pm me if interested. how old is your helmet cause if its past 5yrs its time to put it up on the shelf anyway.

Sent my helmet in for repair to Arai and had it back in 10 days or so. Repaired at their expense. Great service. Call the service guys first, however, to get a special repair order number...
