The 929 and 954 front master cylinders are different bores.
They both work fine but you should at least be aware of it :-)

Re: 954/929 front master cylinder

yeah I know, I really want the 954 as I like the firm feel at the leaver. I am told the 929 is not the some but still has a hard feel. do you know how much the internal is off? if alot maybe i'll stick with the 954 master.

Internal?

The 929 has the 19mm (3/4") master cylinder and 33/30mm caliper pistons.
The 954 has the 17.5mm (11/16") master and 32/30mm pistons.

The smaller master gives less feel (shorter stroke) but more power.

Re: 954/929 front master cylinder

yeah I read that before but couldn't find it. well maybe you can help. I have a 636 I picked up and i can't stand how soft feeling the brake is. I mean I bled it and it works great and does stop good but compared to my 954 lever its soft feeling. does that make sense? anyways is there any other master that have the same bore sizes that im looking for as the 954's master are hard to come by for a good deal...thanks
