as the title says... I need a new stator for my 929, I've been told that you can swap the 954 stator and cover on instead so that would also work.

thanks

I don't recall exactly but I think you can fit the 929 stator and cover on the 954, not the other way around so check first.

Re: wanted 929 stator OR 954 stator and cover

Thanks for the heads up. I figure I'll probably get a 929 stator for cheaper than a 954 stator and cover anyway.

Re: wanted 929 stator OR 954 stator and cover

I am pretty sure a 954 cover WILL NOT work on a 929. I was going to let a friend use my 954 cover on his 929 for a trackday. He went to bolt the Stator into it and found out they stators on the 2 bikes are different. You may be able to use the whole stator/cover assembly, but not the cover only. We did not try that combination.
