| Awesome ride today in Kern County California A friend and I decided to ditch work today and go riding instead. Ended up being one of if not the best rides I've been on, on the street. Put on about 275 miles with at least 200 of it being VERY twisty. Left at 8 and returned safely a bit after 3. Was a gorgeous day. Took 178 out of ridgecrest up to Kernville (lake isabella) then followed the river up and hit the 190 (hadn't ridden this before today, but will be riding it again shortly ) and took it through Sequoia to the 65. Took 65 down do 155 and took that back to Kernville and had a bite to eat. Then headed home on the 178. AWESOME day. Details on 155 and 190 can be found at pashnit. Here's a link to some pics from the day... Pics

To get to decent twisties living in the Twin Cities you had about a 1.5 hr ride to just get to them in SW WI. LOVE it out here in Cali. |

| Re: Awesome ride today in Kern County California rrWANTER I live in Lancaster, and may have ridden with you before, I went on a ride last summer with about 6 or 7 guys from Ridgecrest up through angeles forest highway and a guy on a 954 went over the edge of a cliff.. he was ok.. broken leg or something, but it put a quick end to the ride.. were you on that ride?
anyhow.. the riding in the isabella area is incredible.. it sounds like you missed out on one of the best of all however.. there is a road called Caliente-Bodfish Road that is a little tiny two laner that wiggles its way from tehachapi to Lake isabella, it is full of cows, cow patties, and some of the best first and second gear twisties you will ever run across in this area.. (in my humble opinion).. if you get the chance pull out a map and check it out.. it connects with the 58 about 10 miles west of tehachapi...
well worth the time to try and find.. I warn you however.. it has made many men go home crying to their mommas in fear!!! |

| Re: Awesome ride today in Kern County California Yep. I was leading that ride when Mojave954 on this board decided to do the superman off the cliff. He forgot the laws of gravity apply to him. Didn't miss Caliente. Didn't have time to hit it. Have ridden Calient/bodifsh multiple times. Very challenging and fun road.
And no not that Kern county guys....that's a cruiser from down South somewhere if I remember right |

Jason, I'll stick with my F4 out at Willow. Getting kicked by Eichenberry, Siglin and others is just fine. Plus i can highside myself to the moon with the F4...no reason to add the hp of the 954 so I can do it twice as fast. You racing this month? |

| Re: Awesome ride today in Kern County California Great pics. I have wanted to ride that area for a long time. Ever since driving it in the car on the way to Death valley. Kind of a long slab between The Bay area and Bakersfield though. |
