If so I know of a really good company in Denver that is hiring, I'm tempted to apply and move there, I know some people that work at the company. Just FYI, the Northwest is expensive and it rains too frikkin much! |

On a side note, the Portland area is chock full of high tech, engineering heavy companies other than Intel, mostly in the Hillsboro area (aka Silicon Forest). What's your specialty?

Is it still "not as full as it was?" Recently there were alot of empty offices out around 158th & Walker, Cornell Rd., etc. I know that's not Hillsboro, by the bye, but am just wondering if Silicone Forest is recovering at all from the decimation that took place after 01-2000.

Very expensive, rains at least 6 days a week (no kidding) and it's crowded.
I wouldn't recommend moving here. I moved from Portland, OR and it wasn't much better weather-wise, but if I had to choose between the two I'd take Portland over this hell hole. Although Portland's economy is still in the gutter... It was hit especially hard by the .com burst. |

I'm heading to Denver or the SouthEast next I think. Real Estate is almost double than what I'm used to (Dallas, TX) and it's not worth it when it rains the majority of the time. I'd like to go to Atlanta or RTP in North Carolina, good riding, cheap gas/real estate and direct flights to Europe |

Real Estate is at a decent price, much cheaper than here, I just don't like the jacking they do on insurance |

My buddy lives in Tucson and says insurance isn't regulated in that state, that could be costly. + job ops aren't abundant, Phoenix area needs some more high tech companies. I would very much like to live there as well, it's really nice and I don't mind the heat, the sun shines year round man, and the winters are frikkin' awesome! |
