| Re: It never rains in Southern California No, abtech and I call that rain, everyone else mistakenly calls it snow. If it can't be plowed, it ain't snow, right? Heck that looks more like June or July around here, maybe some parts of Australia also in June or July.
All that's needed is rain gear coderedcbr and you'll be good to go! Just be certain your tires are warm before leaning.

| Re: It never rains in Southern California Yeah, this is supposed to be the "perfect storm". 3 fronts, from the arctic, Hawaii and the Gulf all combining over CA. For the "perfect storm", I'm not real impressed... |

It's God's judgement on California, or Michael Moore.

| Re: It never rains in Southern California The only time they called a race for weather in Michigan was when they had lightning hit the corner workers shed in turn 1 at Grattan and once when there was "too much" ice in the hairpin.
There is a pic in the office at Grattan of the Team Chicago race school from the early 90s and we were all standing on hotpit lane on top of about 2' of ice. We ran 30 some sessions that weekend. |

Now how do you put snow chains on a 929? |

| Re: It never rains in Southern California Man, sounds like you guys have had it rough down there. It's rained lots here too, but we're not the desert so flooding is pretty rare. (although I remember watching cars float down our street when I was a kid) http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...e_us/storm_rdp |

| Re: It never rains in Southern California Just heard on CNN that you've received over 19 FEET of snow in the mountains with max wind speeds over 160 mph.

They have this new stuff around here now called salt brine I think. Basically just a really salty solution that they are gonna use before it starts snowing. I haven't seen them use it yet but in my opinion its just a quicker way for cars to rust and rot. If people just learned to drive properly we wouldn't need all that crap.

We did have 3 inches on the ground on Fri. Base, schools etc shut down... Being from MN I found this quite funny. It was all melted by the evening.

| Re: It never rains in Southern California We've just had a very windy period in the UK too, and more to come. Wind speeds of 60-70 everywhere and top recorded gust of 160mph in Cumbria.
