Spring Mountain, Pahrumph NV Review

Got to ride the new section of track at Spring Mountain this weekend. While it is a technical track for sure, not what I would call good for the liter bike sect. 600's and Motards will roll well on this track, though for some reason the motards had a hard time staying on the track the first day. A lot of decreasing radius turns with a many of them coming up NOW. The track was slick so for most it made it a hazardous day with my blazing snail speed it was not a problem though as the track cooled later in the day the front would slide and the rear would spin, not good. Track needs to be seasoned.

Would I go back to this section of the track? Eh, probably not cause no place to open up and express the power of a liter bike. If I get a 600 track or motard, welp, ya never know.

I actually liked the track alot. Great technical track which works you pretty hard....over 300 miles in 2 days wore me and my tires out. The LARGE elevation drops in 3 and 4 leaned over are pretty sweet. Takes a bit of getting used to feeling weightless while leaned over . The track was green in the morning and a bit cool, but with the sun and rubber being laid down it came in quite nice by the afternoon. Would like to run this track one day the way we did and then the next backwards, taking the elevation drops as jumps instead.. .... that'd be sweet. A few of our riders took it backward at lunch the 2nd day and it was sweeeeet. One guy on a motard actually became airborne over the one rise (first one you hit in running the normal direction). Instead of alot of decreasing radius corners, they were opening up... Being the first motorcycle club on this section was nice, along with providing feedback to the owners. This section will only get better as they add more amenities to the new pit area etc.. Can't wait to get back....I hear a return trip in the end of Jan is comming...
