| Holy crap! It's actually raining in SoCal! Not really rain I guess, more like sprinkiling but still...Shocking.
I think I'll make some coffee and pretend like it's winter. Maybe I'll even change out of my shorts and into something that covers the whole leg. |

| Re: Holy crap! It's actually raining in SoCal! I know this is really shocking weather. Snowed in the mountains two weeks ago, an awesome 70 degree plus weekend and now this. Cold rain too. WElp, we can always use the rain. Coastal deserts are great are they not? |

Might have to take Wed off, clear air and clean roads? |

BTW, that might actually work. Might have to come down, going off alcohol for Lent. Gotta end my drinking in style. |

| Re: Holy crap! It's actually raining in SoCal! It's not raining down here in Sandy Eggo. It's dreary as all hell, I feel like I am in Seattle, but no rain. It sprinkled for about 10 minutes earlier, but that was it. |

| Re: Holy crap! It's actually raining in SoCal! So that means there will be like 20 million car crashes in SoCal today, I swear when I lived there everytime it rained I saw a flipped car on the 405 or a 20 car pile up.
I guess it's too much to expect most Californians to understand the concept that wet roads = less traction. |

Oil and crap buildup is terrible and they get verrrrry slick with the rain. |

| Re: Holy crap! It's actually raining in SoCal! even around here I think people can't drive in the rain. Whenever it rains I'm always doing atleast 10mph faster on the highway. As long as you have decent tires with good tread then you shouldn't have too much trouble. I'm actually a believer in most people can't drive very well anyway. |

Ride up here on Wed and we'll ride the 74 out to Palm Springs. |

| Re: Holy crap! It's actually raining in SoCal! Starting to really come down up here too.
FWIW: Rain is the most hazardous weather that Californian's face, on average. They just aren't used to it being inclimate in anyway. Other than what wntr said, think about it, 300 days a yr, beautiful sunshine and now this....CRAP! No different the first snow storm in a lot of places.
Becareful out there on the roads LTL, sometimes it washes the dirt right into the roads and it sits on the inside corners. |

| Re: Holy crap! It's actually raining in SoCal! It started before noon here, I think. I rode today with the intent to get some wet weather experience before I have to fully face the music that it's almost summer :-) I love sliding my car around the corners but I think it'll be a little while before I can do it on the bike ;-)
A big problem in SoCal is all the rear-wheel drive vehicles. Back in NH I used to blast up the 3 in my little Mazda around all the crappy SUVs and can still do so down here when it rains. |

Of course I was a little sideways most of the time but that was fun. The way home was a little different as it was white out conditions and it was coming down so fast the plow crews couldn't keep up. |
