| Riding in Alaska Hello everyone,
Just wanted to see if there is anyone here that rides in Southcentral Alaska? I live near Anchorage and try to plan a trip every other weekend to either Seward, Homer, Glenallen or Denali. Gotta set aside some time for fishing too! Let me know if you are interested and the days you are available. Take Care!!

| Re: Riding in Alaska You are one lucky person. I would love to ride in AK right now. It has been 15 years since I was in the last frontier. The weather should be just right by now. Enjoy you ride. |

| Re: Riding in Alaska Thanks Colryn,
I just bought my CBR 1000 last month and I've taken a few short rides to Talkeetna and Hatcher's Pass. I'm ready to do an overnight ride North because of all the RV's heading to the Russian and Deep Creek. Take Care!!

Yes, it will get a little cold in the evening but it is great by mid morning. Oh, and it does not get that dark at night during the summertime. When I was there, I stayed at my uncle's house. His neighbor was mowing his lawn at 10:30 at night. Kinda weird.
Neat place Alaska. The most beautiful place I ahve ever seen. I want to go back so bad. |

| Re: Riding in Alaska Hello Stegen,
Alaska is by far the best state in the US. It is the third least populated state, which means less people (vehicles) on the roads here. We don't live in igloos either. We do have six and sometimes seven months of snow. We have shopping malls, one six-lane highway, and I share my backyard (Chugach State Park) with bears, moose, and the occasional wolf. By the way, Chugach State park is bigger than some states! Most people think we only have three days to ride and wouldn't consider living here. That is what keeps it special for me. Anyone can live in Illinois. I invite you to come up and see Alaska for yourself. I'll bet you'll start to think about moving up here. Take Care!!
