| Re: TO ANYONE IN SOCAL*************** More than three is too many. "More the merrier " only applies to toy runs, as far as I'm concerned. The cops stare down just ONE sportbike that cruises by. A group of 5 virtually guarantees at least a roadside conversation and equipment check from the local constabulary. |

My days of triple digits on public roads are long over. Trackdays are too plentiful and accessible for me (or anyone) to do that now. Take it to the track and work on the skills that will help you ride more safely (not necessarily faster) on the street. |

Rain, wind, cold and more rain
Between the months of May to August are the sunniest and there are all types of roads to ride on........if you like I can suggest or guide you to some mad mountainous roads with loadsa nice bends and humpback bridges and where it results in the edge of your tyres becoming more worn than the middle!! |

I've a good friend here that would rent you a bike for the week, he's got a decent range of stuff too.....Hondas, Suzuki's and Dukes.....
I've had a few falls too,not in my 1st week but over the years, all from showing off or just experimenting...'what would happen if'.......worst injury.......broke my neck...ooops........aaah well we all learn by our mistakes!
P.S. When you mean you need to find out when you are coming...is that just like hmmmm personal stuff or do you mean when you are visiting!! |

| Re: TO ANYONE IN SOCAL*************** i knew what you ment, but what are you suggesting?...lol. I can't ride yours? i have almost lost it a few times, most of them due to the stupid idiots that drive 4 wheels almost hitting me. But there have been some close calls with indo's, and some burnouts(that one hurt, but i didn't fall). no its not personal, i just don't know when i am coming out there. i will be over there in that area starting in april. but its not my call if we stop or not. |

| Re: TO ANYONE IN SOCAL*************** mmm.. girls on bikes... thats hotttt..... as for the cops, they took off when we exited the freeway. It was more traffic control than anything else (VERY easy to block the flow of traffic with that many riders). City of Industry Frisco's bike night WAS the biggest/ best Socal bike night east of the 605 on the 10 fwy.... until some asshat decided to wheelie right into a light pole in the parking lot a few months ago. Don't get me wrong, i love wheelies. I'm right in the front at the stunt spot. But not at a crowded gathering like that that. I heard some small groups still go there, but nothing like b4. Been meaning to check out Huntington Beach bike night and Pasadena bike night. Where in Socal r u? |

You probably would not be able to boast about that kind driving record over here in the "Land of The Free" ahem.... Heavy sarcasm, just in case it got lost in the text.... Ireland & New Zealand are a couple places I's like to check out on two wheels. A childhood friend of mine keeps going back to N.Z. on a bike, must be a reason. |

We stayed in seal beach for our stay, I couldn't get over the weather, beautiful scenary, and the fact that their was always something to do. I don't want to steal the thread but where in SoCal is the best place to live? |
