LoCal Role call (South of LA)

Hey all,
Just asking for those who ride in the LoCal area to leave a quick shout. I typically ride Pali and julian and Mesa Grande and Montazooma, etc. If you don't mind droping some stats on yourself it would be easier to hook up with someone close by for a ride. Let me know
1. N, S, E, or W of Palomar Mountain and approx miles
2. Leave info on what days you typically ride (i.e. sat, sun, federal holidays)
3. Frequency riding (i.e. once per month)

Myself:
1. 35 miles due east of Pali (Oceanside)
2. typically on saturday and try to get out on the Federal holidays.
3. I ride about once per month (family man)

I Ride when weather's good, and nothing to be done at home.
I stay far away from Palomar! Too many squids and cops.
I just like a great ride with nice scenery.

I'm out of Carlsbad riding a 94 600 F2. I usually ride every other weekend (Sat or Sun) on the loop trip (S. Carlsbad -> Elfin Forest -> Lake Wolford -> Palomar Tight Side/Fast Side -> Mesa Grande -> Ranchita -> Montezuma Grade -> Banner Rd -> Julian -> Santa Isabel -> Ramona -> Highland Valley -> Via Rancho/Del Dios -> Rancho Santa Fe -> S. Carlsbad). Sometimes I do it backward depending on the time of day so the suns not in my/our eyes on the fast technical stuff. Banner Rd Bridge is Closed for repair between Borrego and Scissor Crossing so Montezuma has to be done twice to get back to Julian or just skipped all together for a few more weeks... also a lot of RV traffic there right now making it a bottleneck and rather dangerous so we've been avoiding it. I go with all kinds of different riders with different styles from old school Cb 500's to Harleys to R1's. Going this Sunday to break in some new gear on a few of them.

I'll be droning home down the 101 freeway this afternoon.. I'd be riding the PCH if it weren't for the ending @ the 10 fwy (an absolute zoo on Friday).

I used to live in Marina Del Rey - yeah, I wouldnt ride around the 10 at all! We might skip Palomar and Montezuma this Sunday. I heard of several local groups going up tight side which takes the risk factor off the roof for me. Montezuma is still the only motorhome path to ocotillo wells open for this weekened, then it is free and clear again for future rides. See you all out there if you go - UHF radio channel 10 (but also scanning)
