New Rider in Orange, Ca.....

Whats up everyone. I am new to this site and new to riding all together. Just bought a 98 CBR600F3 and am looking for some other riders in the area. I wanted to get my feet wet before I put anyones life in danger.......

That being said I am comfortable enough to not make an ass out of myself by dropping or laying down my bike in front of a crowd. Anyone out there ride in this area? Let me know

And nevermind the whole "dropping the bike in front of a crowd" bit.... You should aspire to NEVER drop the bike.

And dont look for groups to ride with just yet, find 1 or 2 responsible riders that are patient enough to work with you.

And if you do, don't worry, it's a big club you will have joined. We have jackets. My favorite drop was the time I took off without remembering to remove my disc brake lock. I had it on the front of the wheel, so I got about 7/8ths of a revolution, just enough to lift up my foot and BANG, I was on the ground. Thankfully, noone saw it and the bike survived with only a few scratches.

Disc brake locks are crap anyhow. Strap the bike to something or don't bother.
