'01 929 Stolen from SoCal (Westwood) on 11/30/03

I'm calling on my fireblade brothers and sisters for any help they can give me to get my bike back. I live right next to UCLA and my bike was taken out of an underground/gated parking area early on 11/30. Sound like an inside job to anyone?? It's easy to recognize since it's one of the only '01 red and black 929's with powder coated red wheels and a carbon fibre two brothers canister. So if you guys hear anything, please call me at 310.903.2500- I appreciate your help-

That sucks. I will keep my eyes peeled. Yours is the second bike I have heard of being stolen from around the UCLA area. First one was a guy who frequented the bike night at Topanga and Ventura. He finally picked up a 929, and within 3 weeks, it was gone. Sad..

Hopefully your wheels will be the giveaway.

Sorry to hear about the bike missing. I will keep an eye out in the Pasadena/San Gabriel area.

When I listed the 929 a few weeks ago I got some calls from some USC kids seeming pretty desperate. They were offering stupid prices ($3500). I couldnt stop laughing.

Just a thought place some free ads in the recycler.com offering to buy a 929 any condition as will be used for racing and see who calls.

Tombstone, that's not a bad idea.... I think I will take you up on that, on a seperate topic... does your signature mean you are selling an 88 YSR?

Shhh! G-Force might catch wind of this.

G-Force sold me the YSR. I guess it wouldnt be so bad passing it onto a felow .org member.

I have $800 into it. Runs great! I put new levers and rebuilt the forks. IMO needs that second fork spring, paint, reg.and new tires.

Its collecting dust as we speak. You interested?

Oh, and I got a set of Dunlop TT-91's takeoff from my race bike, centers are brand new, sides about 50% left. Free if you buy the bike from Tomb!

I will keep my eyes and ears open too, I live in LA, Eagle Rock, Pasadena, Glendale area....maybe I will ask around if anyone has any 929 WHEELS available...because I actually do need a front...and maybe someone will sell my some red powder coated ones...and then we can BOTH go down and umm..."pick them up"
