Billy Lane tries to get off the hook...

I know this has been on here a few times, but here is some recent news regarding custom chopper builder Billy Lane (for thse who don't know)... Borrowed from WFTV in Orlando

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. -- The attorney for celebrity motorcycle builder Billy Lane has asked a judge to throw out blood alcohol results in his DUI manslaughter case.

Lane is accused of driving drunk and killing Gerald Morelock when he hit the motorcyclist on A-1-A in September of 2006.

Lane’s attorney has filed motions asking that the blood samples not be allowed as evidence, because Lane did not consent to a blood sample and because they believe the results were tainted by improper care of the sample.

Lane faces up to 15 years in prison.

"because Lane did not consent to a blood sample"

I guess he and his lawyer forgot that you don't have to consent to blood tests if someone dies as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

Did you expect less? The events leading up to the death he caused show a definite pattern that he matters above all else regardless of what happens to others (in his mind). Anyone with such an attitude would have a hard time accepting punishment from the little people.

He'll try every trick in the book using high priced attorneys but I hope they lock him up.

I hope he goes to and stays in prison for a good, long time. And I really hope that the family of his victim sues him for everything he ever has or will make.

I think that it's a shame, not that hes going to jail he deserves the 15 and more if I was the judge it would be life in prison you take a life you get yours taken, it's a shame that it was a motorcyclist that comited the crime.
