| Dropped my bike - with help! I can't fu*king believe it. I was just in the garage switching my old dunnies for Bridgestones More on that later.
On my way home I was moving though very slow traffic. I checked what was going on behind me on my right side before moving over (I'm nice like that. I don't just weave in and out like the locals). I indicated and began moving over as the car behind me (but in the lane I wanted to be in) was stationary. I then feel a bump on the right side of my tail. Not sharp, more like a push, a push with more force than I can stop. The bike started to go over but I managed to hold it. But I couldn't get it back up because the car that bumped me was still there. So I tried to get the kick stand down. I thought I had it as well but the stand hadn't locked in, so it just kept going. I managed to control the fall so it was really like gently placing the bike on the floor.
As a consequence, there's nothing more than just one minor scuff on my mirror, a minor one on the stator cover and a tiny one on the fairing, just below that.
I said to the guy, "Stop, you've just hit me."
"No I didn't."
"Yes you bloody did. So park it up." He then smiled at me and drove off. The bike, as you can imagine, wouldn't start for a while, so I lost the little fu*king Sh*t!
Sorry everybody. I just needed a moan. Look after yourselves. They are all mental! |

| Re: Dropped my bike - with help! Trust no one when you are riding your bike. I had a clown step out in front of me off the foot path after the lights had turned green at an intersection, so I gave him a nudge with the front wheel thinking I'll give him a scare. I told him what I thought of him but he grabed the bars and tried to pull the bike over, all while traffic is trying to get past. Held the bike up but could'nt go after the clown for obvious reasons. Some people are just wasteing space being here. |

| Re: Dropped my bike - with help! sorry to hear that.
that's a lack of traffic manners. we as a bike riders have to be double careful cause car drivers don't care about us.
nice to hear that you are not injured, brother. hope you will repair your bike soon. |

| Re: Dropped my bike - with help! Thanks everybody. Fortunately, Low-rider, the old bike only received very minor scratches. So no harm done except to my pride.
Btw, my new bridgestone battleax's are absolutely amazing in comparison to the rock hard dunlops. Cornering is a pleasure once more
Mine you, the new steering bearings didn't hurt either! |

| Re: Dropped my bike - with help! after those massive injuries you suffered some time ago, this sounds like a walk in th park. BTW, accidents happen, that's life. i am not fond of making U-turns on my f4i and just yesterday, i lost my balance at virtually standstill with a full tank of gas, bike starts to fall, and being 200kgs, the bike that is, i coludn't stop it falling onto the road at standstill. thanks god for my crash ptrotectors, theyu saved the day taking all the impact.my mirror suffered minor scuffing tho'. fit some crash protectors. thry also save your casings. i fitted the puig brand. easy DIy job, but make sure you mount them to the engine mountings and torque the nuts correctly. but still, it's not a nice feeling to drop your pride and joy. |

Compared to my 'biggie' this was a p*ss in the park. I just felt like venting spleen - metaphorically speaking, of course
I do try to stay philosophical about these things, but sometimes you just gotta blow steam, especially when the little basta*d knows full well what he's done but won't even try to help. Surely you get that, Taurag? |

| Re: Dropped my bike - with help! absolutely. invest in those crash protectors. try not to be too hard on yourself or others. i am just trying to say that accidents happen all of the time and to all of us. atleast your bike and mine have the battle scars to show that we've been there. |

| Re: Dropped my bike - with help! Guy's I can't remember a time when I've been riding-alone or in groups- when at least one car didn't pull right out in front of me or us. And I'm talking about groups as big as 30 bikes. That's why if I'm going past the end of my road, I have my gear on. I got a wife and a kid that I plan on making it home to everytime I leave....
As fas as the jerk that knocked you over..... you shoulda pulled his dumba** out of the car and taught him to respect his 2 wheeled counter parts. Can I get a Amen? |

I know i shouldnt but if someone so rude and ignorant tried hit me and either tried to lie or run off, god help them. My plastic knuckles would come in handy if their windows were closed, then comes bare fists..
But, saying that, its happened now and there is no point doodling on the past. All you have to do now is repair what needs repairing and walk on, or you will never hop your leg over your Blade again.
Im sorry to hear it happened again to you, hope both you and the bike are ok.

| Re: Dropped my bike - with help! glad to hear you are ok, could have been a lot worse. just the other day i was riding in a 3 lane road, i was in the far left lane and signaled to get into the middle lane. i accelerated though the middle lane as i was coming up on another vehicle, a guy in the far right lane decides he wants to get into my lane, just as i am about to go past him. he turns no signal on or nothing. so i am stuck between him and another car in the left lane. so he got the middle finger directly up against his driver side window and i drove past hime. just glad i didn't get slammed between the 2 cars! felt very fortunate. |

| Re: Dropped my bike - with help! as you all know people cut you off often. But sometimes when they do I feel like gunning it right next to them and breaking there mirrors with my fist before I pass them.
