WELL I GOT STUPID AND TRIED TO DO SOMETHING NOT WITHIN MY LIMIT. FOR THE SAKE OF THIS SITE AND THE PEOPLE WHO MODERATE IT I WONT USE WORDS LIKE "STUNT" OR "WHEELIE", (THEY GET ANGRY). WELL I TRASHED MY BRAND NEW HAYABUSA AFTER ONLY 2MONTHS OF HAVING IT, SMART RIGHT? I WAS WEARING JEANS AND A SWEATER WHEN I WENT DOWN AT ABOUT 60MPH AFTER A FAILED ATTEMPT AT DOING A ''BLANK''. I WAS ATTEMPTING A STAND UP ''BLANK'' WHEN I 12 O CLOCKED AND FELL, BIKE RAN INTO THE GRASS AND I WENT TUMBLING DOWN THE ROAD. POSTED THIS ON YOUTUBE AND RECIEVED ALL TYPES OF HATE WHY BLACK PEOPLE DONT NEED BIKES AND HOW IM A SQUID. IVE RECENTLY GIVEN UP MY DREAM OF ''BLANK'' RIDIN, ATLEAST ON A BUSA AND ON PUBLIC STREETS, IVE ALSO PURCHASED BETTER GEAR SO IM MORE PREPARED FOR NEXT TIME. I KNEW MY ACTIONS WERE STUPID AT THE TIME BUT DID THEM WITHOUT HESITATION, AT 20YRS OLD I DONT WANNA BECOME ANOTHER STATISIC. FOR ALL OF YOU THAT THINK IM THIS SQUID ''BLANK'' RIDIN BIKE STEALING MONKEY THEN THATS GREAT. SINCE THE CRASH I KEEP BOTH WHEELS ON THE GROUND AND WEAR ALL MY GEAR!!

This thread is a perfect example of why you shouldnt be "trying" to stunt on public roads.. Thank goodness your bike didn't hit a car or hurt any bystanders.. Im also glad you made it out ok.. To bad that beautiful Busa had to suffer for your "bad judgement"... And again Im really glad you didn't get hurt and fix your baby ASAP..

I don't think this post can be reasonably construed as infringing on rule #8 and apparently he has found sympathy here. Nobody (I hope the moderators included) likes to see riders getting hurt even if it is a result of poor judgement.

From my perspective, this post is one of the most powerful and eloquent ways of promoting safe riding. To paraphrase the original post "I did things that most people here strongly recommend not be done. Those guys are right. Don't screw up like I screwed up. You will be hurt and your bike will be hurt. Just don;t do it."

Hearing about racist comments, and seeing stern comments from members and moderators, just leaves me appalled.

Thank you for sharing your pain. I don't see your post as "celebrating or defending ... stunting ..." etc. I find it to be quite the opposite.

Heal. Fix your bike. Enjoy.

could not have said it better myself. Intend is the key here, way I see it, it was meant as a warning. As we "mature" in biking, we are all constantly learning and it's far easier and cheaper to learn from the mistakes of others.

Well,toeach his own then. If someone is stupid enpughto get up and do the same thing after something like that, they deserve what they get. But i think hes learned his lesson and this wont be a problem anymore. And lets not forget...most of us have goneout on the street and gotten the front wheel up, and many have gone down as a result....and alot of those people probably werent "stunting" but that can happen to anyone. just learn your lesson and be careful next time.

That's very presumptuous of you. Whether he goes out and stunts or not is none of your concern so long as he doesn't post some glorifying message about it here.

I am greatful that you shared your pain with us here, it doesn't really sound like supporting stupid behavior. I can't say I have sympathy though. I'm tired of hearing about this crap that makes it that much harder for the rest of us to ride. The other week I went out with one of my friends and the group he rides with. All those guys were doin wheelies and crazy stuff and I just sat in the back of the pack and felt ashamed to ride with them. It's like they have no consideration of the enverionment they are in and the other lives they put at risk. Heal quick, get back on, and become a good influence, not a statistic!

One can only hope the OP was a squid, but I myself have doubts. I'll bet anyone on this board can smoke him and his Busa in the twisties, where it really counts. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Stunts don't make one a better rider, they're just a way for squids to show off.
