| crashed 954 I crashed my 954 back in July, heres the story: I was riding with one of my friends with who rides a R1 and we were doing some night riding and he was a little more adventurous than i was and got ahead of me. I rode on about another miles to see if he was waiting for me but i didnt see him so i turned to head to the house, on the way home we crossed path and he flashed his high beams so i pulled to the side of the road and slowed to about 10 mph when my firiend acclerated and ran up behind me fast slammed on brakes and slid his bike into the back of mine. The results of the accident were some cracked plastic a messed up exhaust, broken turn signals, and a bruised helmet. My friends 2006 r1 took some serious damage with a destroyed tank, fairings, and bars. I walked away with a sore back and leg and my friend had a broken toe and was skinned pretty good. I got the insurance money and the quote was 3700 and i'll be back on the road again soon!!! | |

| Re: crashed 954 actually this was his second bike his first bike was a 95 Gixxer 600 so i think what happened was that he got a little gung ho with all the new power he had with the R1. Out of the crash I got a chance to get all the flush mount turn signals and integrated taillight, double bubble windscreen, and a chance to raise the bike back up. |
