| My bike, not my wreck While I've never actually wrecked a bike myself, one of my bikes was wrecked. About 2 months ago, my 2001 ZX9 was stolen from my apartment complex. I noticed it was gone that morning, as I had been planning to ride to work that day. I immediately called the cops, and an officer showed up about 20 minutes later. While I was giving him all my info, he got a call on his radio that they had found my bike wrecked. Apparently, the guy that was riding it had run off the road at about 130 mph and high-sided sending him and the bike flying into the trees. He died a while later in the hospital from internal injuries. Here's some pics. | Re: My bike, not my wreck Can you say KARMA! It's sad to say but the thief kind of got what he deserved. At least he took his own life with out anyone else getting hurt or killed. |

Actually, I ended up getting more back than I had in the bike! Of course, I would rather have the bike, but I wasn't complaining when I got the check. And they got it to me just in time to go into my wedding and honeymoon fund. | |
