| sadest day of my life well, just like the title says, and it was the night i came home and my rc had been burnt down. My house caught on fire and my rc was in the middle of it. I have attached a pic of it. hopefully i did it right and you all can see the reamins. I think it still has life and dont want to get rid of it, the local shop says to throw it away or just sell the engine, I SAY HELL NO!! alot of it is cosmetic but from the seat back, its gone! all wires, seat, power commander, lights and exhaust is toast. I WILL GET MY ONE AND ONLY LOVE BACK ON THE STREET, but im needing a little help as far as parts, so if you think i need it, holla at me!! i will definitely need all plastics except front fender, anything from seat back that was hidden, i will need it all! if you got extra parts of any kind, help a brotha out and sell it to me! thanks in advance. |

| Re: sadest day of my life WOW, so sorry to hear that man.. what started the fire? the bike? or something else? and definitely good luck with everything!
I'm sure its not the first thing on your list of fixes but, so far as the fairings I found a site that does really good full fairings. you can even get a stock look or Repsol. they aren't too bad on price($700-$850's) and I have done a lot of research into them and I cant find any complaints for quality or fitiment. So hopfully when you get to that point you can find something you like. I know I found a set with faint blood red flames that would look awesome on my 954. GOOD LUCK BROTHA!!!! | Re: sadest day of my life thanks to all, well the fire was started by a heat lamp i had for my lovely american bulldog, "mambo". according to the fire marshall, the heat lamp caused it. half of my house from the outside is burnt toast, luckily i had e double sided windows and it only broke the outside part and the firefighters were there on time to stop the fire. stoped it in good timing, good enough not to let the fire inside and to stop my bike from turning into nothing. bad timing since holidays are just around the corner, but that ol' jakob has come to the rescue thanks the rc51 gods!! mr org owner, looks like this jakob is in the process of delivering..........thanks again |

The jackets and gloves and boots they will because it is considered fashion and not MC safety By the way, i have an old PCII if you want it. Im in Midland Tx, PM ur address if you do. |

| Re: sadest day of my life I feel gutted for ya, this happened to a mate of mine on christmas eve 4yrs ago. After cleaning his bike (04 CBR600RR 4months old) he had a fag which he failed to put out . On returning to his house with attached garage he finds smoke billowing out of the garage. Now he saved all he could but as fire got bigger he had to just stand back and watch while he waited for the fire service to turn up. he reckoned the worst part was when the tank exploded as all he could do was watch as his pride and joy was raised (literally) to the ground. If i ever find the photo's i'll bang em on here all that was left was half the front wheel ! Also all his christmas booze was in the garage so he couldn't drown his sorrow's. On the plus side he was able to secure a good insurance pay out despite his smoking indiscresion and nobody was hurt. Good luck with the rebuild

| Re: sadest day of my life That is a terrible situation to have to face. jkobflys is surely receiving lots of positive karma in addition to rep.
If it makes you feel any better, I would also like to suggest that you will be lucky if this remains the saddest day of your life. If nobody was hurt, the outcome could have been infinitely worse.
Come to think of it, if the fire had not happened, none of us would have witnessed the generosity displayed by jkobflys either.
But it is still a terrible event. |

I hope you get her up and running and back to her former glory, make sure you take pictures of every stage.
Good Luck with it.
