| busted up..... i wrecked for the first time today on the way to work.. i hit a wet spot right when the ol on/off power of the bike went over it.. it shot me up in the air when i tried correcting the slide and then shot me down hard on the ground with my foot under it. i think my foot is broken not sure though, going to the doc tomorrow with no health ins. bikes not too bad scuffed up the mid fairing, busted the front around the left headlight, the tail has a scuff the size of a dime on the outmost point and bent the shifter with my foot.. but walked away and went to work for a lil while till they sent me home |

| Re: busted up..... Time to do some stitching of the fron fairing...
Has the stator cover "holed"? At $84 for a genuine one I would be more inclined to ride her as she is... If I'm pushed, I would buy the chrome one (you may need to get a gasket too) but wouldnt it stick out like a sore thumb on your CBR?

| Re: busted up..... Does that mean you'll be replacing all of the panels too?
I see where your're coming from but again its just my .02 - Unless the bodywork sticks out too much it might be wise just to repair what is needed and ride it (if you go down again at least its not going to hurt you as bad)

| Re: busted up..... Sorry to hear the bad news.If you need new fairings check out this site if you already don't know it. It's called nicecycles.com you get every plastic peice for the bike with kits they are not cheap china made ones either.Oem thickness and half the price. If you look in the clearance section you can come across good deals sometimes.I also saw a place on the net but i willhave to look for it,but the make a carbonfiber stator cover that double tape over cover they look pretty nice in the pics. Thats what HONDA will do if you buy OEM from the dealer..Ops forgot you screwed your ankle. |

Glad your alright. could have been much worse with a highside and a "landing on your head" scenario
boots are a cheap insurance coverage to have... |

| Re: busted up..... Glad to hear that you’re ok………..we have all been there…….crashes, surgeries, and the what if’s……the most important thing is that you are ok….trust me……bikes come and go man……but invest in medical insurance….my surgeries would have cost me over 100k if I didn’t have insurance…..I only paid 5 bills!!!!! |

Originally Posted by cbr1kfireblade thanks.. when did you go down? i just saw your pix and DAMN!!! | Yeah all last year, same sorta of scratches, just by the light, stator casing on mine got a touch (from being hit) and had 2 broken toes. The right side was wet slide at a roundabout, wasnt expecting here in the Canary Islands, but it had just drizzled and the road was a mess.....my own bad judgement, was only doing 15-20 km/h. And I got that little scuff on the rear seat fairing But she's still fit and fast as F**k
