| Re: 900RR Rammed by Aggressive Honda Civic Driver *Video This happened by the guy getting mad that i split the lanes to get infront of him at the stoplight. I felt the guy on my leg with his bumper (mind you i had my turn signal on so he knows i'm going to go infront of him), so i kicked his bumper. At this point he floored his car into the back of me.
The bike is working. The engine mount on the cylinder is broken (large crack on 1 side), and the mount on the frame is bent. Steering stblzr scratched, exhaust sctached, engine case cover sctch, peg sctch, just a bunch of scratched stuff. The bike works great, and I put in so much work into it recently. It blows to have this guy mess up my bike/health.
I was told that if he admits he rammed me on purpose it wont go through his insurance, which I hope isn't going to happen. I want to screw this guy so he respects motorcyclists you know?

| Re: 900RR Rammed by Aggressive Honda Civic Driver *Video Maybe i shouldn't have kicked his bumper, but I take it as though someone is endangering my life when they touch me with their car! Also, I am missing an arm....no need to be missing a leg because of a jackass! I have a completely different accident story for the arm. LOL |

If you're hurt in the slightest way, sue him to hell and some more.
I don't know what fecked up laws you have where you are, but if he rammed you on purpose, that's premeditation and as far as I see it was a purposeful action, and he should have little grounds to back off into diminished responsibility.
He assulted you with his car, endangering your life and damaged your bike. I'd call the cops. Nevermind the insurers.
Even if it was "accidental", you were in front of him, so it was partly his fault. Even if you were bebopping around him a bit.

| Re: 900RR Rammed by Aggressive Honda Civic Driver *Video The law in california allows you to split the lanes, and as well if you get hit its the hitting party's fault, unless you were doing a left hand turn and got hit that way.
so with all the road rage we have on our roads nowadays, it seems like you could really make this guy pay in court.

I wouldnt have gotten in front of him 1) he bumped your leg first, so he isnt driving safe. 2) you kicked his car... if you kicked a pitbull would you stay near it to see if it wants to play? I woul dhave let that guy and others like him go in front where I can keep tabs. It was messed up that he slammed into you though, no excuse on that.
also what is the story on no arm? |

| Re: 900RR Rammed by Aggressive Honda Civic Driver *Video i SUFFERRED NERVE AVULSION OF NERVES C1-C5 DUE TO A TANK SLAPPER AT 80MPH.
LEFT WITH A PARALYZED ARM FOR 4 YEARS. OPTED TO REMOVE IT MYSELF (OR HAVE A DR. DO IT) 2 YEARS AGO. NOW, I'M CHILLIN WITH THE RIGHT ARM TYPING.
UNFORTUANATELY I WAS AT THE FRONT OF A RED LIGHT. THE LIGHT WAS RED WHEN THIS ALL WENT DOWN. WE WERE AT A STAND STILL. I COULD NOT JUST LEAVE PERSAY. I WAS ALREADY COMMITED TO BEING INFRONT AND MY POSITION DID NOT ALLOW ME TO MOVE OUT OF HIS WAY WITHOUT PUTTING MYSELF ENDANGER OF BEING HIT BY ANOTHER CAR IN A DIFFERENT LANE IF THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN WHILE I WAS MOVING.
INSURANCE COVERS ACCIDENTS, NOT ACTIONS DONE ON PURPOSE...IF THAT MAKES SENSE. |

| Re: 900RR Rammed by Aggressive Honda Civic Driver *Video Adjuster came out...looks like it's gonna be a total loss. I plan on buying it back and just welding a new motor mount on the cylinder head (since its cracked).
Anyone know what the proceedure is like to get the salvage title and then clearing it? I live in CA.
It's all cosmetics that make it total loss asides from the motor mount, which I'm not worried about, it's an easy fix. |

| Re: 900RR Rammed by Aggressive Honda Civic Driver *Video Glad that his insurance is going to cover it but sorry that they are totaling it. Last year I had a 16 year old girl tap my leg with her bumper while we were moving (she decided to change lanes into me)...she ended up with a cracked bumper...so I understand your reasoning for kicking his bumper

Anyone know what the proceedure is like to get the salvage title and then clearing it? I live in CA. | In Cali, from a salvage title you have to rebuild it, then take it to DMV/CHP (more likely the CHP will inspect it, DMV are a bunch of lazy clowns...but that's a different post) to have the bike inspected that it meets all safety requirements (turn signals, lights, etc.). Once they write you off that it's ok, you can register it with a salvage title.
How do you clear the salvage title in Cali? You can't. Once salvage, it is always salvage forever. Some states (notably Florida) you can do 'title washing' and turn a salvage title into a clean title.
BTW, you may or may not have to salvage the title. It's California law that if an insurance company declares a vehicle a total loss they must turn in a form to the DMV saying that it was an insurance total loss. However, my cousin got in an accident in my Honda accord. The other party's insurance paid for it, and as a part of the settlement, they agreed not to notify the DMV that is was a total loss. Stayed with a clean title. |

Wow, really...I will have to ask them if they can keep it clear...I would like to avoid all of this nonsense. Funny thing is that the motor came from a cop. he never put it in his name. idk what the real story is. Supposively it was bought from los angeles police federal credit or something.
If he did it on purpose he could be charged with attempted murder.
Yea, tell me about it. I was going to let him go too! I'm glad I went through insurance. Unfortunately for him I'm going to be a thorn in his side. I just hope he doesn't do it again because he could seriously injure someone.
