Arata System for R1

Fuk'n hell Sook !....I was at the circuitbreakers ride day yesterday and saw James' 04 R1 with the full Arata system and your stickers all over it. This morning I hopped on your site and checked out the dyno chart.......tell me it does NOT say 169.7 rwhp ?.....damn....that's 10 up on the 1000rr mapped with the Arata.....unless the r1 has other mods ?

Re: Arata System for R1

Hahaha. I know. James brought it to me on Wednesday, with Yoshi slip ons and a map done by Radar's. It dyno'd at 155. I was hoping for at least 160, just by adding the Arata system. But when I ran it, it was 156.7. I nearly fell off the dyno. hahaha. Here I am telling everyone how good these systems are, and it makes 1.7 more than Yoshi slip ons. But I told James to go do whatever he had to do, so I could map it. Coz I didn't know how well it was mapped and how much the Arata put that out etc. After I had finished, I pulled up the Dynoware software for the run, during which I THOUGHT it felt alot stronger but sometimes that's just wishful thinking. And from about 7000rpm onwards the fueling didn't need big changes, so I was a bit worried that it wasn't going to perform like I was telling him it would. BUT, after the first run, I had a real close look at the screen (coz I didn't think I was seeing right) and then did another run to confirm it. 169. He called me yesterday and said it was just brilliant. He said he was scaring himself going into turn 1, and that's saying something, as James races and has done 37's or 38's around there, so he's no slouch. Hahaha I'm just glad it made the power I said it would. It has on the other bikes we've done.

Re: Arata System for R1

I've done three of them, all with pretty much the same results. From 147-150 stock, to 160 Arata and mapped.
