Hondas are #1 in my book.
Just ask Honda Financial Services. They will vouch for me. Two loans for their products.

Most manufacturers have their problems at one point or another on a new bike

Uh oh, someone got their feelings hurt!

For the record, my 929, my RC51 and my 600RR all had tons of grease in them when I pulled the linkages...

It is standard procedure to pull all the linkages and grease them on a new bike for me. Same with the headbearings.

My 929 had dabs, but not near enough. My CR250 straight pissed me off it had so little. I rode the bike 3 times (to break in the suspension before I sent it out) and it had noticable wear in the suspension pivots.

Now, what about those RC51 hose clamps?

Re: R1 debunked, another reason I ride Hondas

The R1 is the greatest most bestest motorcycle ever made. The only reason Yamaha doesn't race it in MotoGP is that it is against the rules to do so. I bet even Edwards could win on one.
No harping on the Uber Bike.
