Ok so check this badbay out...I like it. If this is really what it will look like then I think I may just HAVE to get one.

Me like!

Very surprised it doesn't have underseat exhaust, but looks like they went with some kind of "shorty" ala the Gixxer 1K?

That's awesome. They appear to have copied Ford and are redoing the FZR600.

hmm...as an ex-R6 owner, I'm kinda partial to them....but, with that said, I am kinda "uhhhh" on this one....I need more detailed photos before I can fully form an opinion, but based on what I see so far....I would keep my cash in my pocket....

You're kidding, right? What (other than the Yamaha decals) reminds you of the Fizzer?

I like it, other than the funky license plate and rear signals bracket (that never lasts long on many bikes anyway, and it's easy enough to change)...

Horsepower 'in the teens' is my guess, but I wonder what the projected weight will be...

Re: 2006 R6

Both the front fender and the funky side scoop are reminiscient of the old FZR.
At least this looks like they designed the bike all together, rather than the hack job on that ugly-assed R1.

I think the little air scoop is on both sides, it just blends in on the right side in those pics due to the perspective. I wonder if they are even functional; looks like the air intake is still just below the headlight.

The intake is in the same place on the past several years' R6's as well.

Who the hell is in charge of designing the damn mud flaps in back. When are they going to figure out that these things are just never going to stay. Are they required in some countries? Can't they come up with something that looks good and holds the plate + Signals?

If you ride once in the rain without a rear fender, you'll see their purpose.

At least now they're designing them to be removed easily.

Re: 2006 R6

wow, beat me to posting these pix, I got them just now in the email. I am very, very impressed, and it makes all the other 600s (save maybe the 636) look very dated in design. I would get this over the 600RR now based on looks alone. (never thought I'd say that).

Rain? Is that like when it's less sunny?

Yeah, I know the tail of the bike gets hit with a bunch of water but it nevers gets on me... the bike is getting wet anyway so I don't see the point. Maybe if there was a chance of a rock damaging the underside of the bike I could understand.

I've gotten it on my back on a number of occasions, when I used to remove the fenders... (Yep, up and over the tailsection of the bike.)

Only, both side scoops, and the cutout for the engine case.

The exhaust reminds me of a mid-80's sportbike too. I just wonder if it will roast your foot?

I dig it all, the whole package. I'll take it in yellow.

Taz, as soon as you bought that RWB R1, I knew you and I were pretty much polar opposites in style.
