| New FJR Just bought a new 05 FJR on Friday. I have to say this is the funnest bike I have owned. It runs a lot better than I thought it would. Handles great for a heavy bike. Nice to have hard bags for storage too. Already planning a trip for this set of days off. Might head towards Arkansas for some twisties. |

| Re: New FJR The FJR was on my short list when I was going to sell my 954 to get something more comfortable for commuting and touring. How did I wind up with an RC-51 again?
Good luck on the bike, it's a sweet package! There is a video around somewhere of a guy putting it through it's paces in a closed development used as a track. Do a search here at the .org. If I find the link, I'll re-post it. |

| Re: New FJR I dont think the heat will be an issue for me. My Blade would hit 230 deg in traffic. And our summers are very hot and humid already. Kind of used to being hot. Wearing a ballistic vest all summer along with wool blend trousers has its advantages when it comes to handling heat. |

A guy I race with took his to the MotoGP race at Laguna and actually scraped his bags on some roads out there. Dont know how he did it. May be full of but maybe its possible. Hes done a couple of Pridmore's schools.
The bike is suprisingly fast to be so comfortable. Similar to a Busa in the way the power comes on. Torque everywhere. I find myself doing 70-80 all the time without trying. Seems easier to go fast on the FJR than the CBR. Maybe because its so smooth.
I dont know. What I do know is I like it......a lot. |

Have fun with it.

| Re: New FJR Its so smooth that it doesnt feel like there is anything happening. The Blade had a lot of vibration and was significantly lighter. You felt every little bump in the road. That is a good thing on some bikes. Not what Im looking for on the street. If you have ever ridden a big bore bike like a Busa or ZX12 you would understand. The torque just pushes you along so easily. If you get the chance ride one. |

| Re: New FJR Congrats on the new bike, careful not to roast your nards off...
There is something to be said about riding a bigger bike at it's limit as opposed to riding a rocket nowhere near it's limit. It's fun to touch down bits of metal on the road. I miss my VFR for this reason. |
